Just received my new cookware, haven’t used it yet. Was looking for specifics in a new set after having a Teflon set for 22 years. Wanted non stick, healthy coating cookware I would feel comfortable cooking in I didn’t need to worry about chemicals leaking into the food. Second, I wanted a steel base to help prevent warping and optimize the heat distribution. Lastly, I wanted a comfortable handle and pans that weren’t as heavy as cast iron, but had a decent weight to them. This set competed my wish list. The last thing to check off will be how they perform with cooking, I’m hoping I’ll be very happy with how well they do. Aesthetically, they are very pretty, shiny handles and a smooth, matte black exterior.

I made the decision to buy this set of cookware based on two things. First of all, I owned some stainless steel cookware by the same company, Legends, and I absolutely love it. I wanted to build upon my cookware with some nonstick items. Stainless steel works great, but it requires a lot of oil for frying and sautee. . I knew wanted scratch resistant and heavy duty. When I saw that legends offered this set I was so excited because I was hoping the quality would be as good as the stainless steel set. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the entire purchase. The price for the amount of cookware is absolutely amazing because the quality is outstanding. I am a packaging nerd and always get a thrill out of well—this did not disappoint. From the box to the booklets, this all feels very high end. It would make an beautiful gift. These are heavy duty and will last years upon years. The handles are riveted on, not attached with screws. They’ll never come loose. Same with the lids. And the sheer weight of each item is impressive. I also love the fact that these can be used with my induction cooktop. I have a portable induction cooktop that I will use occasionally when I’m cooking large amounts. Now I can use it more often as this entire set will be compatible with all cooktop types. I have discovered that I’m a better cook with better cookware. Seriously! I don’t scorch things when the temps are even and when I can follow a recipe and go from cooktop into the oven without being confined-things just turn out better.
