UPDATE::: Customer service reached out to me regarding my review and the issue with the vacuum not being strong enough to pick up the pet hair. They are sending me a new M3 Max, and that should fix the issue. Great customer service! I would definitely order from them again in the future! Original review:::model M3 I waited to write my review until I had used it several times. I have had it 2 months, and can say it is mediocre at best. First the good.. the app is easy to use. 5 stars. The mopping is great. The ability to go back to the base and clean itself is a great feature. Also 5 Stars. Now the bad...the vacuum is terrible on rugs/carpet. It is absolutely NOT a pet hair vacuum. It balls the hair all up in the brush, and it has to be dug out and cleaned after every room. It ends up wadding some of the dog hair up and leaving little balls of it behind that I have to go around and pick up once it is done. It also doesn't do a good job of getting hair out of the carpet. I have a very low pile area rug, and it isn't clean after the vacuum is done. It even drove right over a small leaf on the rug and didn't pick it up. I got it for a good deal ($159), so I will keep it for the mopping function, and quick vacuuming between using my upright vacuum.

I’ve only been using the Lefant M3 robot vacuum and mop for a week, and I’m already impressed. Setup was simple right out of the box, and delivery was fast and hassle-free. The unit feels solid and well-built, especially considering its very reasonable price. Even in this short time, I’ve noticed its powerful suction (20,000 Pa): it effortlessly picks up dust, crumbs, and my dog's hair from both hard floors and carpets. The side brushes and dual rotating mops reach edges and corners that are usually missed, and my floors genuinely look cleaner after every cleaning cycle. I also really appreciate the automatic emptying and charging station. The 8-week capacity dust bag and 2.5-liter water tank mean I don't have to constantly monitor the device, and the mop cools down automatically after cleaning to prevent warping. The V-shaped brush, designed to prevent tangles, works well even with pet hair; so far, there haven't been any jams. I've used this robotic vacuum 4 times since receiving it 4 days ago. This robot replaces a very disappointing vacuum from another brand. It took longer to unbox this one than to set up its WiFi and cleaning schedule. I'm using it on our second floor with carpeted bedrooms and large hall, a room with a thick area rug and ceramic tile bathroom. Oh! Did I mention that I have 3 Golden Retrievers?!I Its first pass was an hour after the old vacuum (6 months old) did its final scheduled cleaning. The M3 picked up so much dirt and fur the previous one left behind. The upstairs carpets are noticeably cleaner. I just ran it on the first floor where we have a mix of flooring after another brand of vacuum, that does good, finished its scheduled cleaning. I was not expecting to see how much dirt and fur that vacuum missed. I may run it again, but this time for the M3's mopping function. My only negative comment is that like other brands, fur does wrap around the main roller brush. Its not nearly as bad as the previous two vacuums, but I still need to check and remove the fur frequently. Pros - Ease of use, vacuum suction power, base suction power, mapping, vacuuming performance Con - Main roller still gets tangled in long fur, noise (but that's okay because its doing a good job) I give this Lefant M3 vacuum a solid A-. I may buy a second at this reduced price.

Putting it together wasn’t too bad, although I would’ve liked to know how much water to fill into the water reservoir, but this information is nowhere to be found. As far as the instruction manual goes, it’s almost like not having one: the one in the box has such tiny print that one needs a magnifying glass to read it. And the one that comes with the app also misses a lot of information, such as how much water to fill into the reservoir. It also does a very poor job at explaining how the machine will map the rooms. When it is on a cleaning round, and it has to change between hardwood floor and carpeting, right at the transition, it will drop a lot of dirt that it sucked up elsewhere. So around the edges of the carpets, you have this big line of dirt all over the place. I also noticed that it dropped wads of dog hair here and there. My house is very big, and at the speed at which it is going, it will take it a whole day to do just one level. Considering all the noise it produces, and the slowness of progression, I decided that it is much easier and way more efficient if I do the cleaning the traditional way with my traditional vacuum cleaner. Even though this is not the most expensive of all the options out there, it is in my opinion already way too much money for what it’s worth. I’ll put it back in the box and ship it back to Amazon for a refund.

I’ve used this cool vacuum robot every day since I got it a few days ago. I have a senior cat and a senior dog, both shedding quite a bit. M3 does the work in its own to keep the floor clean! Both sweeping and mopping work well. Saved me so much time and hard labor. I like the feature to self clean the vacuum filter and mopping pad after each clean. My favorite feature is the ability to define the area to clean on my phone! Easy to generate and manage the map. Even my cat loves watching it moving around :-)

Leaving 5 stars because once I got everything figured out this vacuum/mop does a really good job. I previously had a Roborock which suffered a water related accident (RIP Rocky). I purchased this model because of the complete lack of help from Roborock and the attitude in their emails. I was intrigued by the self cleaning mop heads and they do a much better job of mopping than my prior machine. It has been running about a week and no more streaky floors. It also seems to handle rugs better than my prior machine. We have 4 house bunnies and a cat so quite a bit of fur and, except for the first run, it handles fur pretty well. On the set up issues: Initially it refused to see my wifi and kept saying we have 5G. We have a 2.4/5 set up. It took numerous tries before it finally just gave in and connected. It took nearly forever to map the house on the first go around - about 3.5 hours for a 2600 square foot house. The app is NOT intuitive. I had to watch several you tube videos to figure out how to get to the maps, how to set up rooms, etc.

I really wanted to like this. It seems to have good suction. The issue for me was that the one arm launches the dirt to the other side past the vacuum so it ends up not cleaning properly for me. I have tile that was done horribly and the avoid carpet function made it stop at every uneven tile. I did like the app with the no-go zone. That’s so much better than the magnet strips everywhere. It’s also cool that you have the “avoid carpet” function. Now for the mopping: we are surrounded by dirt and the mopping just dragged the dirt around. I guess, I wasn’t expecting that it would use the mopping pads in a somewhat wet state and try to clean the whole area with it in comparison to clean/rewet it. It’s very easy to set up so that was a plus. I guess I’ll stick to a vacuum machine only

Updated 21 June 2026. Allow me to update this review by saying the Lefant customer service is excellent! They heard my concerns and made it right. Ive had my machine over a month now and it has worked better for me. Any concern, they helped troubleshoot, and there have been few concerns. Try it out. Its a good machine with lots of options to vac, mop, or vac and Mop. ... I've owned my share of robot vacuum over the last 15 years. This one showed promise, but after 2 weeks, it stopped performing. The mapping is great, but it wouldn't go under the sofas that it originally mapped to go under. Then it stopped locating rooms. Lastly, it would come off the base, go 6 inches, then say room not found. So frustrating. I would wipe down the sensors every 3 days, make sure the roller was clear of hair and debris, clean the mop plate and rinse the mop heads separately. Still, it would not move or vacuum. When it did work, it was excellent, but not worth it to me to keep when problems began so soon after purchase.
