We ordered this after our last robot vacuum/mop combo finally gave out, we got it on sale so figured it was worth a try. Absolutely no regrets with this, the mapping is great and gives you the option to clean just a specific area if needed and also create no go zones which for us is great as we have a small step down that all other robots went over and got stuck, this one stops exactly where you tell it to. We also have 3 cats and it does a great job of picking up the cat hair and it will even detect carpets/rugs and clean around them. The mop feature is better than I expected and got the floor perfectly clean as it is very thorough and won’t move on until the current area is clean. The only slight negative is how loud the vacuum is when emptying itself but that’s not a big deal, not tested at night yet so don’t know if it would wake us up. There are many more features that make it easier on the consumer. If you are in doubt then don’t delay and buy it today! Battery life is great, it hasn’t dropped below 75% when doing a clean.

The media could not be loaded. I like this vacuum - a very convenient solution to the issue of 5 cats leaving their hairs all over my house. The mop feature is mostly useless though, so I can’t give it a full 5 stars. Pros: It's way quieter than a normal vacuum. You can have a conversation with it running in the same room & not have to raise your voice at all. It’s only slightly annoying to have it running when you’re trying to listen to music/ the TV, or make a phone call. It fits under all the furniture I have & gets between legs of chairs without me having to lift things, move things out of the way, wrestle with a power cord, then put everything back (the reasons none of us want to have to vacuum). The dustbin will hold a lot of dirt & cat hair before it needs emptying. It has never had to quit a cleaning session early because the dustbin is too full. The cats like to watch it work but they haven’t bothered it/ haven’t ridden on it & it hasn’t bothered them. My one cat likes to stand vigil at his food dish & the vacuum will just clean a one-inch circumference around him without trying to bump him out of the way. (It’s quiet enough that they don’t run in terror.) Cons: It’s advertised as working on both 2.4 Ghz & 5 Ghz Wi-Fi, but that turns out to be a total lie when you try to set it up &, suddenly, it NEEDS to connect it to the 2.4 Ghz (which I don’t know how to do & it was the specific reason I bought THIS model instead of hundreds of others). I did try pressing random buttons on my router before returning the device & it HAS been working ever since. I have a raised threshold one half-inch high & four inches wide between two rooms that it continually struggles to climb over. It usually spends about 5 minutes there, trying, before backing down the way it came. Maybe one time in ten it actually makes it into & cleans the other room. - You’re not supposed to pick it up & help it get there, even if you feel sorry for it. If you have the mop attached it has no chance of climbing onto anything. That’s supposedly a “feature” but when it gets into an area between two carpets and you watch it scoot back & forth repeatedly like a sad lost animal …you kind of feel bad for it. The “mop” is just a gravity fed water reservoir with a removable (washable) cloth attached to the bottom. It doesn’t actually “mop” anything, so much as give it a very gentle slightly damp dusting. It wouldn’t clean a single dirty footprint off of a hard floor if you ran it for 100 cycles. It would only spread a spill around if it came across one. The mop function, honestly, is pretty useless unless you have dark hardwood floors that show dust everyday. When it’s finished cleaning, it goes back to its charging station, which could be a problem if the charging station is kept on a wood floor or carpet with the mop reservoir full (& continuously damp). So, if you’re using the mop, you have to remember to take that attachment off soon after it’s finished cleaning (or damage your floor).

UPDATE: 1/6/2022 LeFant has contacted me and have fixed the issues. Great customer service! Back to 5 stars. This started as a 5 star review. UPDATE (again): 12/31/2021 This is literally 2 minutes after I published the last update. I'm sitting here watching one of the vacuums. It chimed to go back to its dock. Here's the fun part, it was 2 FEET AWAY and it rolled off to the other end of the house. Really? Oh, it's bumping around the bathroom right now. UPDATE: 12/31/2021 I've run both robots several times and I am not happy with either of them. Sure, they pick up a lot of junk, but their programming is way off. 1. Neither can find their charging docks. I'm watching them run the opposite direction of their docks when they were just a straight shot of about 10 feet away from them. Yes, they are starting their cleaning from their respective docks. They're going to the opposite end of the house and bumping against every wall all the way back when they do. Like they're running the perimeter of the rooms and hallway. Only one has gotten back once. 2. I'm watching them clean the same areas for over an hour. No obstacles are keeping them from moving on to another place. When they do figure their way out, they come back and start all over again. It's not just one specific area, it's a few different ones in the same room. In an open space. 3. I don't think the "Charge and Resume" function works. It is in the app. I saw it once and can't find it again. Charge and Resume is the reason why I bought not one, but two of these vacuums. I usually have to send them back through the app because they've gotten down to 10% power. I thought they were supposed to go back at 20%. It would be nice to be able to change that to 30-40% in the app. I've reached out to LeFant and I got a copy/paste response telling me to clean my house before using the vacuums. I did. It's a new house and all that's there is furniture. It's all open concept with lots of open floor space. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I just bought two of these robots for my home. One for the main living area upstairs (Martha) and one for the basement apartment (Alice). The upstairs is all laminate flooring and the basement is a mix of laminate and area rugs. I wanted robots that had charge and resume functions without paying $400 for a Roomba. I haven't been able to test that yet. This review is after their very first runs around the house. I'm still working out the bugs and getting used to the programming in the app, but so far, all is well. Martha surprised me with how powerful she is while traversing over a standard doorjamb (the kind used for exterior doors), by going into the 4 season room, and back out again. Picture a 4x4 rock climbing. She has no quit in her. It was quite comical watching her find her charging dock (that was how she ended up in the 4 season room in the first place). She finally met her match by going under the end table in the bedroom and getting caught on a power strip for nearly an hour while I was out. Alice has been buzzing around the basement, eating everything in sight. She cleaned up wood shavings with ease. I had drilled a couple of cable holes in the ceilling earlier and left them for her to clean up. She's also very pushy. I had a couple of shopping bags with stuff in them and when I came back, they were moved to the middle of the floor. I think she was backing into them, getting out of a spot. She did wait til she was down to 10% to decide to go back to the charging base, but died trying to navigate out of the bathroom. I have to check to see if I can change it to 20% (I believe it's supposed to go at 20%). Setting up and pairing to the Android app was easy. You need to make sure you are connected to the 2.4gHz signal from your router. I already had a seperate, differently named, access point set up because of other appliances needing it. But, I haven't been able to connect to Alexa. The reviews for the skill show that it's not only me but a problem wth the programming. Oh, well. I can do what I need from my phone. I was confused when I saw that there was no map forming on the app until I saw in the LeFant FAQs that you need to set the robot on a course (rows, spiral, etc.) for it to map. If I run into any issues, or have more good things to say, I'll update the review. If I remember, I'll update in a few months.

This is our second robot vacuum and our first from Lafant. I was impressed with the quality of cleaning from the first pass. The mapping software actually maps out the entire floor. Then I can easily choose what areas I want cleaned. It has twice the suction of our first robot and we could tell from the git go. I am impressed how the robot avoids items in its path yet knows what areas it has to clean yet. Very impressive technology. The self-emptying feature works great. It was a great purchase on Amazon Prime days.
