Nice Saucier Pan. I’ve seen test reviews so I know it performs well. Only issue is that it’s expensive. I don’t know why it is so hard to find accurate dimensions for pots and pans so I took measurements. 2Qt Dimensions: • Outside Diameter at rim = 8-3/8" (213mm) • Inside diameter at rim = 7-7/8" (20cm) • Flat base diameter = 5-3/16" (132mm) • Height to rim = 2-27/32" (72mm) • Height to top of handle = 3-15/16" (100mm) • Height to top of lid knob = 4.5" (114mm) • Overall length = 15.5" (39cm) ... show more

I’ve made everything from gravy to Alfredo sauce in this pan. Works great on my induction cooktop. Very even heat distribution. Nicely sloped sides makes for easy whisking. If I had to get rid of all my pans except one, this would be the one I keep. Seems like I make a lot of marinara type sauces. I like adding the pasta to the sauce in the pan. The starch from the pasta thickens the sauce and the flavor soaks into the pasta as it finishes in the sauce. With this pan there is plenty of room for this method and the lid keeps the heat in while I tend to other things. As with all stainless steel pans without a nonstick coating it requires fat and/or liquids to prevent sticking. So keep that in mind if you are not used to that. I find clean up to be about the same as my other SS clad pans. I have All-Clad, Made In, Viking, and now Le Creuset. If I have something that is really stuck, I let it cool, add some water, heat on the cooktop, and give it a good scrape with a wooden spoon or bamboo scraper. I highly recommend this pan and I plan on getting the smaller one as well. ... show more

Okay, so it costs too much. I felt the same way about my LA creuset Dutch oven, but it's stupidly awesome. 🙂 I see why it's the number one selection for America's test kitchen.
