  • Awesome Pot
Color: Indigo
Love this thing. I already have a LC 5.5 Qt. Dutch Oven, and wanted something smaller, but not a brasier. This thing is about 3.5 Q and I use it for everything from cooking pasta, making sauce or chili, browning meat, cooking cabbage, or boiling water. The list goes on. I like that it's less weight than my other pot. The lid fits snugly. It's easy to clean. Any tough spots easily come of with Bar Keeper's Friend. It has yet to see the inside of my dishwasher, and probably won't. There are waayyy lower priced versions of enameled cast iron pots & pans, but, Le Creuset is built to last for Decades. Hi quality and top notch. I rarely give anything 5 Stars, but, this stuff is worth it. I didn't rate the "Giftable" category in this review, because it's Mine! LOL. Worth saving up for. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Best pot/pan/casserole dish and more in my kitchen!
Color: Licorice
I cook a lot and this is by far the most versatile and now, the most used pot/pan in my kitchen. It’s a skillet/frying pan that browns food well, a deep skillet, a sauce pot, a soup pot, a casserole dish, and a stove-to-oven pan. So versatile! The size is great for 4-6 servings, depending on what you’re cooking. I bought the licorice colour and it’s a matte black, but with enough sheen not to be boring. Definitely pretty enough to use as a serving dish. I’ve been using it so often, I keep it on the stove since it looks so nice. This is my first Le Creuset and I am very impressed. Heats well, easy to clean, and this size is easy to handle. Even fits in my Breville counter oven. I have a 5 quart inexpensive Chefmate Dutch oven and wanted the 5.5 quart Le Creuset Dutch Oven, but thought it silly since mine cooks fine. But having used this, I see such better quality, that it’s back on my wishlist now. That said, I’d still want this 3.5 quart size for its versatility and easy handling. I can see both getting a lot of use. ... show more

  • It's legendary for a reason
Color: Flame
I hesitated to buy a Le Creuset. As I am not a great cook I felt a bit unworthy to own such a high-end product, but I'm glad I went ahead and indulged myself. These pots and pans live up to their illustrious reputation and, in my opinion, can even help elevate a mediocre cook's food to higher level. They heat totally evenly and clean up like a dream. The only downside is that they're heavy - really heavy, so anyone with strength issues or any kind of hand or forearm problem might find these difficult to handle. One more thing - the color choice is fantastic. I leave my 'sauteuse' on the stove all the time - it's like kitchen jewelry. ... show more

  • Product looks good but mostly provides even heat across the cooking surface

I liked the heat retention and ease of maintaining even temperatures without hot spots

  • Just a cook’s dream
Color: Cerise
I’ve finally reached the point where my cooking skills deserve the very best cookware. Le Creuset is the epitome of best. The first thing I made were short ribs. Fall off the bone, succulent, decadent, delicious! I’ve never been able to achieve this dish and have it compare to a restaurant. I’ve discovered the trick. Le Creuset cookware. I plan to give one as a wedding gift. No one should have to wait as long as I did to own this amazing piece of culinary art. ... show more

  • heirloom utility
Color: Indigo
what can i say, it's Le Creuset! quality & craftsmanship are superb. thankfully, nabbed this little guy via 'Flash Sale' or i wouldn't have bought it. yes, these are ungodly expensive kitchen utensils but worth every nickel; they're consistently flawless & this is our 3rd piece of Le Creuset. i liked this particular 3.5 qt. model for it's size & utility (our other 2 pieces are significantly larger). our other pieces were gifts so this one was first we'd ever bought ourselves & we're tickled that we did. my only "beef" (pun intended) is that like all enameled cast iron cookware, the inside will (eventually) stain & there's no avoiding this reality. the more you use them, the more 'seasoned' they will become & the interior will, over time/ usage, begin to stain. i've no tips on how best & safely to remedy this natural cause-effect myself but as for cooking applications Le Creuset is practically nonpareil IMHO. i enjoy cooking... A LOT & our stuff gets used. this handy little bugger though fits the bill when a behemoth cast iron piece just isn't necessary. it's versatile, lighter than other pieces due to size, extremely durable/ well made & very likely could wind up one of those 'heirloom' pieces that gets passed down from generation to generation. does this justify the price tag? i don't know, you be the judge. however, if you buy it, just know you're making a legitimate investment that will pay for itself over and over and over again for decades to come. yes, i would recommend this piece - 100%. Happy Cooking!! ... show more

Workhorse in a kitchen. Perfect for soups for 2 or 3. Sloped sides enhances soup, sauces and braising preparations. Browns meats and deglazes well creating flavorful dishes. Fits our needs. I see this multi use pan becoming a favorite in our kitchen.
