I placed it in the stovetop & quickly realized that I already have this size & reluctantly returned it only because I have a small kitchen. I have wanted this Le Creuset pumpkin cocotte since the first time I saw it. I know it is quite an investment, and to be honest, I was hesitant to spend so much on another Le Creuset piece. Also, after reading some unfavorable reviews here I almost cancelled mine. I am so glad that I didn’t ! It arrived today in perfect condition and looks even better than the photos. The white enamel along with golden “stem” is so lovely and the cocotte goes perfectly with my other pieces. I don’t know how a pumpkin can be so perfect and have an almost refined elegance but I think this actually does. It will make the most humble dish served in it seem special. ... show more

First, I want to say that the product itself is absolutely beautiful. I think the overall issues I’ve experienced are more-so to do with quality control on Le Creuset’s end. Twice I received a dutch oven that had several flaws including a noticeable mark on the stem, an indention in the enamel, and finally discoloration on the le creuset logo on the lid. While I would love to keep it, I can’t justify keeping an almost $400 pot that comes with flaws. ... show more

Yes, it's wickedly expensive. I thought about it long and hard as we don't have a deep wallet. But OMG, no regrets - it's gorgeous in sea salt! Arrived today, thankfully in perfect condition, so haven't cooked in it, but it's LC and I'm sure it will perform just as nicely as our larger Dutch ovens. Thanks to Amazon's payment plan over 12 months, no interest - we can handle it. You have to buy this if beauty of presentation on your table is a must. First let me start by saying I love and have a large collection of Le Creuset. I wanted to give it a 5⭐️ review but I was pretty disappointed in the scratches that were on the lid’s surface upon delivery. Also because I received this on a prime day sale for around $239 I’m not able to return it and make an even exchange since the price has increased, I’d be stuck paying the difference. Using the le creuset cleaner helped a bit but the marks are still there. Overall it’s beautiful but because it is pricey & white I definitely wanted it free of marks or scratches fresh out the box🤍 ... show more
