I was concerned about ordering the black matte pumpkin and was kinda expecting it to be flawed but it is not. Just received it and checked it over. I have walked past this pumpkin for several years in the store. Its price just goes up, rarely any Money off, and it ends up selling out every year. I knew I had to get it when the salesperson recognized me from looking last year too. The store had already completely sold out weeks ago. It’s rare that something looks as good as this, but also has incredible quality and durability. I’m in a better mood this Fall just for having this on my stove. The test runs have been great, but I can already envision many years of stews, roasts, soups, breads, and desserts. The was on my actual bucket list for years and it did not disappoint. It's so beautiful that it's now more decor that for cooking but it is great for cooking, as with all Le Creuset products. First, I want to say that the product itself is absolutely beautiful. I think the overall issues I’ve experienced are more-so to do with quality control on Le Creuset’s end. Twice I received a dutch oven that had several flaws including a noticeable mark on the stem, an indention in the enamel, and finally discoloration on the le creuset logo on the lid. While I would love to keep it, I can’t justify keeping an almost $400 pot that comes with flaws. ... show more
