  • Probably the best pan I've ever purchased.
Color: Flame
I recently purchased the Le Creuset Classic Handle, 9", Flame Enameled Cast Iron Skillet and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The skillet is made of high-quality cast iron and is coated with a beautiful flame enamel finish. The enamel coating is not only aesthetically pleasing, but it also makes it easy to clean and maintain. One of the things I love about this skillet is the classic handle design. It's easy to grip and the skillet is easy to maneuver, even when it's hot. The skillet also has a wide base and sloped sides, which makes it perfect for sautéing, frying, and searing. I've used this skillet to cook a variety of dishes, from eggs to steaks to vegetables, and everything comes out perfectly cooked. The cast iron heats evenly and retains heat well, which ensures that my food is cooked to perfection every time. The skillet is also oven safe, which makes it perfect for finishing dishes or keeping them warm. Another great feature of this skillet is that it is versatile, it can be used on all stovetop, including induction and it is also suitable for the oven, grill, and broiler. Overall, I highly recommend the Le Creuset Classic Handle, 9", Flame Enameled Cast Iron Skillet to anyone looking for a high-quality, versatile, and easy-to-clean skillet. It's a great investment piece that will last for years to come and will make cooking a pleasure. ... show more

  • I love this pan
Color: Sea Salt
I’ve been trying to stay away from teflon so I bought this pan. It’s perfect! Compact, sturdy and cooks evenly. It’s also easy to clean. It’s big enough for breakfast for two or small meals. I love it!

  • Amazing!
Color: Cerise
Is a great pan, the first time I used I didn’t hear enough so eggs stick a little, the second time very smooth. Somehow the food tastes so much better. I was at first concern with the size because is on smaller end but end up liking it, it small but perfect to cook things individually vs smashing all together what I was doing with large pans. Cleaning is very easy, I use a regular sponge and salt for now. The cons: somehow it doesn’t look perfect, the layers are uneven, small imperfections! Pros it looks gorgeous on the stove and fun things to use/own ... show more

  • She’s a Looker!
Color: Cerise
The media could not be loaded. I am writing this review right after I cooked eggs. I am a novice to cast iron, and this is my first enamel cast iron purchase. Maybe it was silly to buy such an expensive pan for my first cast iron use, but I know this brand has an amazing reputation. Before I purchased this pan, I read the reviews on here, read articles, and watched YouTube videos on how to use. I’m glad I did, because as you can see from the pics and video I posted, nothing stuck to the pan. Thank you reviewers! Preheat on low heat (6 on stove) with oil or butter for about 3 mins. Since the pan retains heat well, continue cooking on low. If I (a novice) was able to cook something in this pan the first time without any sticking, so can you! The pan is surprisingly heavy, so please be careful when lifting because you can easily hurt your wrists. I’m extremely happy with my purchase and I can’t wait to cook other dishes in this stunning pan! Update 11/2/23 - I am still enjoying the pan and I cook mostly eggs and beans in it. I’ve noticed that food taste better with this pan vs. my Teflon pans. Eggs for example, is a lot more flavorful. I do not use a lot of butter and food sticks slightly, but I’ve figured out how to clean the pan properly: add hot water to the pan after cooking, soak for a few minutes, then gently scrape off the stuck bits with a wooden spoon. You can also use a scrub brush. Wipe dry after. Simple care! This is my first Le Creuset cookware piece and I am thinking of buying the signature cerise saucepan as my second piece. ... show more

  • Those critiquing often don't understand the product
Color: Flame
First, the major flaw: value. It is a VERY nice skillet, perhaps the best, BUT for less than 1/2 price you can get one ALMOST as good. But that is purely a "value" calculation. The rest of this is for those who seem to be confused as to what this is--and I'll grant you it is a bit subtle. This is NOT a non-stick, or even a "less stick" versus a standard cast iron skillet. This is ENAMEL covered. It will still MORE than pure cast iron. It will stick MORE than a CERAMIC covered cast iron. WHY would you want it then? The enamel coating on this is very good. In theory it will last a lifetime (although I have some Le Creuset pots that are breaking down after 40 years). The black area is also enamel coated--even though it may look like normal exposed cast iron. The bottom is very flat. This is great for induction. Yes, the world is indeed moving toward induction and I say that having run a restaurant. You can use it with acidic foods (think tomatoes) without oxidation/reaction to the iron. The edges are curved. This is good for flipping/omelets and in general getting your spatula to slide under. You never have to season it and you can use soap and water on it--because you never touch the actual cast iron. As long as you understand the difference between cast iron only and enamel coated, you will be happy--except for the price. I won't live long enough to get 40 years out of this, but if it is like their old style pots, you can. ... show more

  • Awesome cast iron fry pan.
Color: Cerise
Le Creuset is amazing cast iron cookware. Eggs cook like a dream in this pan. Use enough oil and the food will not stick. Over time you will need less and less. I ordered the saucepan and everyday pan to complete my set today!
