So lets talk about some of the negativity from others... Yeah its in a lot of little boxes, in a bigger box... this is how you get things from China to here unbroken. YES the design changes a bit and maybe the location of screws or the directions vary a bit, we are all human, even the 7 year olds who put this stuff in little boxes in a bigger box... But I digress. It was super easy to put together if you can do legos you can do this. Be careful with glass and cross threading. IF you have no inclination to build stuff; get help from your cool neighbor who is always fixing stuff. Took me all of 30 minutes to assemble (while having an adult carbonated beverage break in between the steps. It works and WELL, is it as hot as a giant metal patio heater with a 4' hood?? NO WAY. But you cant go wrong with the ambience of flame, the heat output is no joke in 35-60+ degree weather... NO you wont feel it 20-30 feet away. YES if its windy its less effective. The flame is super awesomeness, actually the flame creates the feeling of warmth! Embrace it. Last thing, and them I'm going out to have a few beverages and sit near my super awesome flame producing heat emanating outdoor patio heater with my lovely bride! When you go to start it ACTUALLY hold down the pilot knob for 60 plus seconds before trying to fire it up. you're welcome, happy post covid life, have fun, be kind, dont be mean to people who are scared still, they will come around!! and by all means live it up!! Value EXCELLENT, Sturdiness 4 stars, it has glass, duh. Giftable? Hell yes! Update: I have had an issue with my heater and I am actively working with Silence to fix everything. Silence so far has been great to work with. I will update my review when I have received all of my necessary parts. I have more great things to say about Silence

I'm generally happy with this product, but it was one of the most difficult things to assemble that I've ever encountered. Had it not been for that, I'd give it a higher rating. I do complex assemblies all the time and the biggest problem with this was that the assembly instructions were out of sequence and directed you to use the wrong screws which didn't fit. I discovered that only after running to the hardware store and buying new screws and re-drilling a few of the holes. Had the instructions been correct, none of that would have been necessary. Also, the holes in the top cover are drilled incorrectly so that the cover sits with the corners diagonal to the corners on the base instead of being in alignment with them. This is a problem when you put the storage cover on it. - I purchased this not so much for the heat but for the ambience. I'm happy with that. - I can't say that it throws a lot of heat, but I'm fine with that. - One person mentioned that it uses a whole tank of propane in a few hours. I ran it on low and didn't experience that, but I also have a real fire pit and I can say that the cost of the wood I burn in the real fire pit for an evening far exceeds the cost of filling a propane tank. - The price of this unit is much lower than others that I've seen and I'd say that for the price, it's worth the money.

I love this on my patio. It looks great and puts out lots of heat but be aware that uses lots of gas! My husband and I sit outside quite often so we probably use it more than the average person. But if I would’ve read a review that said warning about how much gas it uses I probably would’ve chose another one. No returns!
