The Bluetooth connection is a big draw for me. Being able to carry the tablet around the car without a cable running back to the OBD port makes more sense when checking different components. I like the larger screen, too, especially for viewing live data and comparing readings. The active tests and maintenance functions are what make this more interesting than a basic code reader. There’s more to work with when troubleshooting, along with resets for jobs like oil changes, brake service, and battery replacement. The carrying case keeps the tablet and adapter together, which is handy for storage. Two years of included Wi-Fi updates are a nice bonus, though I’d prefer a longer free update period at this price.

I’ve used mini phone dongles before, but they drain your battery and lack deep service functions. The CRP919E gives you the best of both worlds: a dedicated 7-inch diagnostic tablet paired with the DBScar VII wireless Bluetooth connector. Handled throttle relearns, oil resets, and bi-directional tests effortlessly. Easily the best launch obd2 scanner investment for serious garage work.
