    • Does not read honda eps/sas/abs 2014 CRV - otherwise it is good
Bought this to reset sas system on a 2014 honda crv. This scanner WILL NOT read sas codes. In addition it WILL NOT communicate with the abs module to command bleeding. A cheap foxwell that I have will read sas codes but not clear them, and that same foxwell communicates with the abs and command bleeding the system. So it is DEFINITELY the software of this unit. I even updated the unit online and had the same exact problem. Unfortunately, it's going back since it will not work for my application. Bottom line I would not recommend this unit if you need sas/eps/abs access. Otherwise it will probably do fine. Update: I'm raising my review because Launch attempted to help me to an incredible level. Their support went above and beyond, and while they couldn't resolve the issue they certainly tried. I suggest contacting them to find out if this scanner will do what you need prior to purchase. ... show more

This isn't one of those cheap ones you get at harbor freight or autozone. This does LIVE DATA and will show you graphs and you can even transfer it to your computer and print it out if you want. This is caliber of what a lot of your pro shops would use at a massive fraction of the price I figured it would just clear codes, and do some other things but being an auto tech for 18 years this is really good. Also the photo makes the unit look way smaller than it is in person. If your running a small shop Or a DIY guy, this one does it all with a good size color display. If you're looking for an easy learning curve device with a decent amount of features, functions, and also for practical use then this is a recommended scanner. Many come in more expensive with less features than what this scanner offers. Features included in the description are accurate. Just keep in mind that some vehicles don't support some functions because they're not equipped with it. With that in mind, some features on the scanner won't work on some cars. Okay, so I got this to read trouble codes for my OBD-II. It is BIG! That's good for some because it is very easy to read it, and bad for those that want something smaller for better portability. It's pretty straight forward and you can easily find out what each trouble code is for through the database. It comes with a long cable for ease of use and includes a USB cable for uploading the data to your computer. There are plenty of functions for all of your automotive onboard diagnostic needs. I am glad that I have it. So far, so good. I haven't had any reliability issues with it. Because it has a large screen and buttons, there should be no problems for those using thick gloves to use it. 2019 Subaru Outback - I disconnected the seat airbag harness and SRS light came on as its supposed to. Then I reconnected it. I hooked up the CR629 and read the code, which also shows "DTC Status: history" - Manual says nothing about what this means...maybe it means that this is a fault that was there but is now clear, but who knows. I then went to clear the code, it says it is cleared, but then the code remains. Now I have an SRS light with no outstanding problems and this scanner cannot clear it. ... show more

    • Great for quick DTC clear after repairs.
I work in a dealership, our OEM scan tools are very time consuming connecting to the vehicle and scanning all the systems. This tool is great for the quick DTC's scan and clear after I have made my repairs to the vehicle.
