It does exactly what I need and allows me to diagnose and clear simple trouble codes myself, without having to spend hundreds—or even close to a thousand dollars—at a repair shop. I also contacted LAUNCH TECH USA’s support team, and they told me that the X500 was specifically designed with U.S. DIY users in mind and comes with stateside after-sales support. Knowing I can reach out to them directly if I run into an issue gives me a lot of peace of mind. At around $200, I think the X500 offers excellent value for the money. After this experience, I’ve definitely become a LAUNCH fan. For me, having dependable U.S.-based customer support is a huge part of what makes a product worth buying.     • Cannot EXPORT live data streams!
Not bad and does most of what I need. BUT, it does NOT have a way to export live data reports. If I capture live data, I can only VIEW it on the device. Other than that, its nice. But, it may be heading back to Amazon.

Great unit. It works great with my Mercedes Benz ml350 2010. Diagnostic capability is good for engine light. Used on 2016 s550 with 360 cameras error code. Corrected the error and my 360 cameras and backup camera now works. Used on my GLE 400 2016. Found two codes and reset. Try it for your Mercedes Benz. ... show more

I tried to register a battery on a 2014 Mercedes GL350 and a 2014 Mercedes E250 Bluetech and both times the scanner said that module is not available. I used the screenshot and troubleshooting contact within the scanner and I never reviewed a response. I had to return it. I also tried to register new Tire Pressure Sensors on the E250 and it wouldn't pick them up. On the plus side, it picked up a ton of modules I just didn't need help with those at the moment. It also has the ability to use multiple protocols. It could've beensome kind of software that was missing that they needed to send. Maybe the BMS is available on another protocol? I will never know because I didn't get a response. ... show more

With the help of this tool, I was able to narrow down and find the root cause of the P0410 code on my Mercedes C320. One of the upstream O2 sensors was not reading correctly, and the ECU was throwing that code. After replacing the sensor, everything works fine, and the car passed the smog check.

    • Failure to address correct error code
Gave some incorrect error codes which of those when I brought my car dealership to scan , they said only 1 of those code is on their scanner. Couldn’t manually to active coolant pump- cuz third party software cannot go through Mercedes firewalls.( when you tried to do that it keep giving you error, do some research found out they couldn’t go through firewalls). Tried to save some money but end up pay more ... show more
