The Milwaukee® M12™ FUEL™ SURGE™ 1/4 in. hex hydraulic driver is the industry's first 12 Volt hydraulic impact driver. The FLUID-DRIVE™ hydraulic powertrain's hydraulic impact allows for operation up to 2X quieter with less vibration for smoother and faster driving speeds. Its compact size provides unmatched access in tight spaces and allows for easy transport on a tool belt or in a tool bag. The POWERSTATE™ brushless motor delivers up to 0-3, 000 RPM with constant power output to drive screws faster. REDLINK Plus™ intelligence prevents damage to the tool and battery caused by overloading or overheating. The cordless impact driver is compatible with all M12™ REDLITHIUM™ compact batteries or extended capacity batteries, delivering more work per charge and more work over the life of the pack. The impact driver's 4-mode drive control delivers greater control over output speed and power for greater versatility. Self-tapping screw mode reduces walking when self-tapping screws as well as reduces overdriving, breaking and stripping out screws. In addition to the M12 FUEL™ SURGE™ 1/4 in. hex hydraulic driver, this kit includes two M12™ REDLITHIUM™ CP2.0 batteries and a contractor bag.

    • If I lost my tool bag and had to replace everything, this would be the first tool I'd re-buy
I love my impact drivers, but full size models are cumbersome and never something I could fit into a toolkit. Anytime I'd work on a minor project or fix something at my rental I typically ended up using a ratcheting screwdriver or underpowered Dremel screwdriver as they were the best options I could fit into a veto pac. However, since picking up the m12 surge and adding it to my toolkit I've used it almost exclusively and its quickly become my favorite tool. I was hesitant to add another brand/battery type into my current mix of brand/batteries, but the surge impact, as well as the m12 line in general, have assuaged my concerns as they've provide significant qol improvements and time savings. This thing is tiny yet just as powerful as my full sized impact. It fits comfortably in my veto pro and adds a negligible amount of weight due to the lack of a monster-sized battery pack. The addition of a third party bit holder secured to the side of the tool allowed me to ditch my drill and case of bits, giving me a chance to replace them with a greater diversity of tools. Lightweight, quiet, portable, powerful, quality, etc. I've yet to find something to complain about and highly recommend both the surge and overall m12 line. Even if you're already tied to another tool brand, the m12 offerings are worthwhile and at the moment not being replicated by many other brands. ... show more

Dude…. Save your ears, and maintain the power! I drill holes with paddle bits in an enclosed area and it’s soooo quiet! Compared to all its counter parts, it’s untouched. The hydronic motor kicks harder than you would think with the softness of Charmin toilet paper

    • Small and light weight with 80% of the power as larger impacts
Most my cordless tools are Black and Yellow, but that brand doesn't make compact tools like the M12's. I would say this impact will do 80% of what I need an impact for. It's small and light weight enough that I tend to always have it at my side while the larger impact is in the truck. Bonus is it produces far less noise. ... show more

    • Great tool, surprising power
I have had the M12 Milwaukee tools for years. My wife got them for me as Christmas gifts. I had Dewalt so I didn't use these. Fast forward 10 yes and I pulled out the drill/driver set to assemble furniture. Onr battery would not charge the other is still going. The Dewalt gun are getting heavy on my wrist so got the m12 out. To my surprise it drove 5/16"-6" construction anchors all day long. My Ryobi droll was great but not up to the task. The Dewalt were heavy and tended to over drive and bury the screws. The Milwaukee M12 drove the screws quickly and stopped as soon as I released the trigger. I bought a second one to get another charger and batteries. Very pleased and impressed with this gun. ... show more

It’s a great buy, nut driver with 2 batteries and a charger so you can constantly use it. The carry case is great, I was able to fit my screwdriver bit case in there along with everything it comes with. Super quiet and has a lot of torque

I was very surprised to see this cheaper than Home Depot. I’m very pleased with this. It is no different than the one you would buy at Home Depot and spend another $75. I would recommend this product and buying it through Amazon to anyone very pleased.
