  • FLUID-DRIVE hydraulic powertrain reduces metal on metal contact within the tool, delivering quieter operation, smoother performance and increased durability over a standard impact
  • Longer sustained torque delivers similar drive times in application as most 12V impact drivers
  • Up to 2X quieter operation makes this tool ideal for occupied spaces
  • Compact head length and compact battery footprint gives more access than competitive impact drivers

Description

The Milwaukee® M12™ FUEL™ SURGE™ 1/4 in. hex hydraulic driver is the industry's first 12 Volt hydraulic impact driver. The FLUID-DRIVE™ hydraulic powertrain's hydraulic impact allows for operation up to 2X quieter with less vibration for smoother and faster driving speeds. Its compact size provides unmatched access in tight spaces and allows for easy transport on a tool belt or in a tool bag. The POWERSTATE™ brushless motor delivers up to 0-3, 000 RPM with constant power output to drive screws faster. REDLINK Plus™ intelligence prevents damage to the tool and battery caused by overloading or overheating. The cordless impact driver is compatible with all M12™ REDLITHIUM™ compact batteries or extended capacity batteries, delivering more work per charge and more work over the life of the pack. The impact driver's 4-mode drive control delivers greater control over output speed and power for greater versatility. Self-tapping screw mode reduces walking when self-tapping screws as well as reduces overdriving, breaking and stripping out screws. In addition to the M12 FUEL™ SURGE™ 1/4 in. hex hydraulic driver, this kit includes two M12™ REDLITHIUM™ CP2.0 batteries and a contractor bag.

    • Awesome impact for nearly all electrical tasks
I have had this for 2 years and absolutely love it. I have only had to bust out my m18 once for large self tapprs into steel. It's what most people really need in an impact: reliable, holds a charge on a 2Ah for a long time, relatively quiet (for an impact), also it's hard for the dude you had it to to overdo something, also would probably help me if I had that issue. However, I may have just bought the 1/4" hex electric screwdriver wiythe variable trigger and speed adjustment for what I mostly use this for, as I DO have an m18 fuel. Depends on your application, but I really like this tool, my Jman had one and one of the new guys wants one too. ... show more

    • If I lost my tool bag and had to replace everything, this would be the first tool I'd re-buy
I love my impact drivers, but full size models are cumbersome and never something I could fit into a toolkit. Anytime I'd work on a minor project or fix something at my rental I typically ended up using a ratcheting screwdriver or underpowered Dremel screwdriver as they were the best options I could fit into a veto pac. However, since picking up the m12 surge and adding it to my toolkit I've used it almost exclusively and its quickly become my favorite tool. I was hesitant to add another brand/battery type into my current mix of brand/batteries, but the surge impact, as well as the m12 line in general, have assuaged my concerns as they've provide significant qol improvements and time savings. This thing is tiny yet just as powerful as my full sized impact. It fits comfortably in my veto pro and adds a negligible amount of weight due to the lack of a monster-sized battery pack. The addition of a third party bit holder secured to the side of the tool allowed me to ditch my drill and case of bits, giving me a chance to replace them with a greater diversity of tools. Lightweight, quiet, portable, powerful, quality, etc. I've yet to find something to complain about and highly recommend both the surge and overall m12 line. Even if you're already tied to another tool brand, the m12 offerings are worthwhile and at the moment not being replicated by many other brands. ... show more

    • Powerful, silent, and compact.

It was time to replace my previous impact. My old impact was a Dewalt 20V, and lasted me 8 years. I decided it was time to retire that and get a 12V Milwaukee. I work apartment maintenance and do a lot of HVAC and appliance troubleshooting and repairs. I wanted to get something compact, light, and not as loud as my old impact. This one checked each box off. It took me a couple weeks to get used to the softer impact and the sound difference. It's not nearly as strong/ fast as my old impact and I knew that before hand. With that said though, this impact is exactly what I need for work and nothing less. I would highly suggest this strong little guy. ... show more

    • Great! Except........
I would give five stars because I'm super stoked on my new set (I also got two 5.0 ah High Output batteries and the m12 fuel hammer drill driver separately) except the sellers have already redeemed the code that you can enter for Milwaukee's monthly drawing. I am assuming they do this with an of their sales and probably win a good amount though considering there's 850 winners a month. Other than that though everything is great. Brand spanking new. Just beware, no monthly sweepstakes here lol. ... show more
