Be sure to disinfect the black mold and grime growing at the very top where it folds back and creates a crevice and it took bleach, surface cleanser and comet scrub and quite a bit of time and effort just to make the whole pot clean and usable. The whole pot, inside and outside from the top to the bottom and the bottom itself had a layer of yellowish sticky grimy pollution film and it took bleach, surface cleanser and comet scrub and hard work to remove and I had to use bleach scrub and rinse 3 times in order to totally remove all of the contamination etc but after all of that and a half hour later I had a perfect pot whereby finally when I wet it and wiped it with a white paper towel the paper towel remained white. The lid required the same process but only a fraction of the effort, time and cleaning materials. I like the pot (I think) because I have yet to use it but this is an issue that need to be looked into, if at all possible.......
