Nice place for the chickens to be more free. We have lots of hawks in the area, coyotes, etc., so we need a safe place for them to run. Putting the frame together is very simple---the chicken wire takes more work to install but I see no other way to get it done. Just takes some time and elbow grease. I cut a hole in one end to connect it to a chicken coop. I use the extra wire from the kit to make a "safe tube" up the ramp to the coop so wild animals cannot get them. ... show more

Only real negative that it's frame is very light weight, but seems sturdy enough for it's intended purpose. It definitely needs staked down so the wind doesn't blow it over. The ties are not enough to secure against predators. Get extra tye wire to make smaller hole. If you have raccoons, you will want to consider overlaying with heavy fence. But for the price it is a great starting point. The chickens love it and it was simple to put together. But remember to use the gloves enclosed. The coating could be an issue but you may not find the note until too late. ... show more

    • Good buy for first time owners
This run works well and stands up well to high winds, I suggestore zip ties or hog rings to keep chicken wire closed but I move it every week or 2 by myself, added an additional tarp to provide more shade during hot Texas winters and paired with nesting boxes to give chickens shelter.
