I have used this about 8 months, and for my needs, it has worked out well. I use this as a large extra-space run for my chickens. I have 11. They have a large 5x5 coop - and a run attached to that, that is 5x12 with hardware cloth all around. I attached this product to my existing run. I elected NOT to put the chicken wire on the back - and backed it up against my current run. I secured the sides, and an automatic door opens from one run to the other. I originally had an open fenced area - but it didn't have a top - and a hawk got 2 of my hens. With this product - nothing can fly in and hurt them - plus, I can walk in, and not have to bend over because it is high enough...which is a lifesaver if you have back problems. The chicken wire could be stronger -but for a day-time outdoor run...it is perfect for me. I put hardware cloth around the ground all around it, so nothing can did in - and secured with stakes. So far, so good. Good price and it is very large. I got the double rounded top one. Wished I had started with this - way cheaper than building your own run with the cost of supplies now.

I especially liked the frame construction. The frame is heavy duty and I was impressed. The ease of construction was a relief. Very easy instructions and the frame was up within an hour. I was doing all the work myself. The screening, or chicken wire was a chore. Doing all the work alone, it was cumbersome, and sometimes a challenge for me to roll it our over the domed frame. Being almost 70 I will attribute this to age, but again it was cumbersome. The screening is heavy enough to keep birds of prey out, probably raccoons, cats, but if a large dog wanted to tear into the coop it could. I would suggest investing in some more sturdy zip ties to secure the screening to the coop frame. The zip ties that come with the coop are not heavy duty. I broke several tightening them down before I stopped using them and got stronger ones at my local box store. I would suggest investing in some tent stakes to secure the footing of the frame down to the ground. I bought some on Amazon and they work well. There are already pre drilled holes in the footing of the frame for tent stakes to fit into. I would also suggest investing in some underground fencing as in stop dig defense to set along the perimeter of the coop. I got some on Amazon and a pack of 25 which are 2 feet long each will go around the perimeter of the coop with 2 left over. All in all I spent just under $500 for a pretty secure predator proof coop. I will modify it with hardware cloth as I love my hens.

First of all, it took me a couple of weeks: i am a 65 year old lady, 5' tall, above average tools knowlege/experience. Had to do it myself. No problem, I love a challenge! Okay, so all the parts were there, it arrived in two packages, however, the three-way corners' snap-in holes only aligned at the two top center peaks. The four lower corners do NOT align with the pipe snaps, so here is what you can do: you can wedge or glue the corners in the right position onto the pipes, into the framework, or you can drill NEW holes so that the snaps align. I chose first option because I have alot of other projects going on and my orchids were getting fried with no shelter. I have wrapped wire around entire frame, through the chicken wire. Make sure you pull about two or three inches of the chicken wite under bottom of frames, and first secure it with zip ties along the poles (I purchased heavier brown ties here on amazon), and then wrap wire through it and around each frame pole. That's what I am finishing up now. I still have to cover the door and finish its edges. I left for last on purpose to be able to 'walk through' and bring my stuff inside of it, easier than holding door open. One other thing: make sure you build this on a level surface area. Especially important to me because I will eventually weedscreen the floor and put down patio stone with sand. Maybe I will add a final picture when I get there, but as my Grandma used to say, "Don't hold your breath!"(waiting). LOL Finally, I did not like the waterproof tarp for my greenhouse, so I purchased here on amazon a different shadescreen cover, which is water and air permeable. Perfect!!! Also, it is larger, 6.5' x 16', so that it hangs down over each end as extra shade. Very sturdy once I got done with this. I highly recommend it and will probably get another one in the future for chickens.

This is a great chicken run so far. Yes, the wire is thin, but it's not designed to be a coop! I'm using it as a temporary coop/run due to delays in building my permant coop and run (Didn't take into account how HOT summers are in Georgia!). I've added additional tarps to protect my chickens from storms and added more heavy duty zip ties all around with wood poles laying down around the bottom of the frame. I would purchase this run again. I would have given it 5 stars except for the issues I had with the door. The diagram was hard to figure out for the door. I could not figure out how to assemble the frame and door without drilling additional holes in the tubes I had to borrow a drill and buy a 7/32 titanium drill bit. The pieces of metal that screw the door and frame together have two different size holes. Unfortunately the poles did not come pre-drilled for the smaller holes. I had to buy screws, nuts and washers. The instructions (diagrams only) are pretty easy to figure out until you get to the door. Other than the door assembly, this is a sweet pen/run. I'm currently housing 61 pullets and cockerels in it until my permant coop/run is completed. They love it!

This is a great product. It does have flaws, but it's NOT a chicken coop. So, here's a really honest review: When you first put the frame together, which was exceedingly simple, and I did it all by myself, it seems wobbly, HOWEVER, once the wire is on, it's super sturdy. I'm not sure why everyone is complaining about the wire, as it's CHICKEN WIRE. Chicken wire is inherently thin and NOT predator proof. This chicken wire is probably the best quality I've ever seen and it's very sturdy. If you want better quality, you'll need hardware cloth, which is way sturdier and WAY more expensive. This is not meant to permanently house chickens and you WILL need a coop inside it. Mine in the picture is the Producer's Pride Sentinel that I've painted with white exterior semi gloss to extend its life. As a run, you can't beat this. I did make some additions. First off, don't bother with the stupid nylon zip ties except to basically hold the wire in place before you stitch it all up by wrapping the included wire around the entire frame at two inch intervals. Yes, it's a right pain in the butt but the cable ties are garbage and many of them broke AS I WAS INSTALLING THEM. I also purchased some stainless steel zip ties and used them at crucial junctions in the frame like the center of each pole, the corners and the top joints. There's PLENTY of chicken wire to complete it. What you need to do is go from the ground, over the top (this I absolutely needed help with because the roll of wire kept unspooling lengthwise and it took two people to heft it over the peak) and then back to the ground, twice. There's no need to overlap the wire as it will be wired to the frame at each edge. Then, go from bottom to top on the ends. There will be overlap here. You'll need 2 in the back and 3 in the front door. Place the first front section in the middle directly over the door WITHOUT CUTTING IT. Once it's all wired together, wire around the door and THEN cut out the door so you'll have minimal gaps. I had plenty of chicken wire left to double up the predator line AND go over the very small gap in the door (you'll only be able to open the door outward if you cover the gap.) Use wire weaving to stitch up the overlaps. The couple of issues I have with the run is that the butterfly latch on the door is VERY difficult to operate and tends to catch on the wire, and that the whole frame sits about a half inch to an inch off the ground, leaving plenty of space for small animals to get in. I made sure to extend the chicken wire about three inches over the ground on every side and then tacked it down with 12" landscape staples about two inches apart all the way around (yup, also a pain in the tookus) to prevent anything digging under, including the chickens. I have about 20 feet of chicken wire left over for eventual repairs or reinforcement. If you want, go over the bottom 24" with hardware cloth as well. You still can't leave your chickens out in this OVERNIGHT as it's not secure enough from predators because it's NOT A CHICKEN COOP. A hungry fox or raccoon with enough time WILL chew through it. Heck, A raccoon might even figure out the latch. There enough space in the latch to install a small padlock through one hole that will prevent the latch from lifting all the way. The tarp is ok. It's reflective on one side and, since I live in New Mexico, I put the reflective side up. I ended up securing the top center holes with stainless steel zip ties because the loops included were IMPOSSIBLE to affix in those areas, so I'll need tin snips to replace the tarp when necessary, but it's great otherwise. Overall, I'm very happy with it, just ditch the plastic ties and expect it to take several days to put together because of the wire wrapping, landscape staples, and the like. WEAR GLOVES. Even with fence gloves, my hands were raw after two days of wrapping and tightening wire. Don't listen to the negative reviews about how it's not sturdy or the wire is weak. It's CHICKEN WIRE... CHICKEN WIRE... Not hardware cloth and you SHOULDN'T be leaving chickens in it with no other shelter. For the last time, IT'S NOT A CHICKEN COOP, it's a daytime run. It's a great value.

Its a pain to put together. I recommend getting better zip ties. You'll need about 3 people to make it easy to get up otherwise 2 could probably do it but it could get hairyand take a while (especially if your short like me). We had a unexpected tornado (we don't get those here, usually) and it held up just fine even with a big tree brach landing on it. Super happy and kept my chickens safe! Will definitely buy again if I expand and totally recommend.

The zip ties that come with it are very weak and easy to break. I used some regular 8 in cable ties from home depot and they worked much better. I felt I needed to use 3 times as many zip ties as come in the box in order to make the chicken wire feel solidly attached to the frame. Also the tarp is very thin and I expect to have to replace that after the first winter it goes through as it seems any real wind will just shred it. It takes a little doing to get the door on straight and even but overall it went together fairly easy. I was able to set the frame up by myself but I did recruit assistance for attaching the chicken wire, which accounted for roughly 75% of the setup time. With a couple of upgrades (hardware cloth and a diy wheel lift kit) I believe this thing will work well enough as a mobile run for my needs.

Very happy as are the chickens. Goes up easy. The hardest part is the wire. Pictures in the instructions show panels (pre cut) that's not the case it one big roll. Best have 2 people for this part. Keep it tight there is not much left after finishing and zip ties are light weight and will snap in you hand . The tent steaks supplied are light weight. This said it is worth the month a good value looks nice offset from the main coup with a tunnel to go between the to spaces. This gives the birds a safe pace to roam. And to make it safer I added electric fence insulator too.
