We really like this coop but here are some really important things to remember before you latch everything together. Lay it out first. Be mindful of where the brace holes are first. Be sure not to have them upside down or backwards. Be sure to have the top bars and bottom bars where they belong. Once this is done it is easy to snap together. Unsnapping it if need be is very hard. Putting the wire on was fairly easy. We did add a heavier wire to go around the bottom because we have fox and coyote around here that could easily have ripped apart the wire that comes with the coop. The wire isn't the thickest or strongest. The ties that come with it are small and not very strong. We did get stronger ties. We used every single tie that they give you plus some. All in all we recommend this coop. Glad we got it.

As someone a little tool-shy, I was nervous about building this. Honestly, though, with two of us working on it, we had very few problems, and I'm impressed by the strength and design of this enclosure. The instructions aren't super thorough but the building steps are easy enough to undo and redo if you get something wrong, as I did a few times, and the finished product is very sturdy and works well. I would recommend to anyone else inexperienced to avoid my mistakes by looking at the poles to establish where the drill holes are at *every* step (it's not mentioned in the instructions). The one page that both my (tool-experienced) husband and I struggled a bit with was the building of the door -- it would have been helpful if the instructions for that were broken down into multiple steps so you could see it in process. But with a little trial and error we got this, and with hardware cloth on the bottom (covered with soil and straw), I expect it will protect all of our poultry from all predators. Definitely worth the price.

This is an excellent item. We were able to assemble it in two days. All of the parts listed were included and it, so far has stood up to windy weather. We are using this primarily for shade and weather protection inside our existing pen. The included chicken wire is not the sturdiest so I would not recommend it to keep out predators. Overall we are happy with this purchase.

I like the size, shape and sturdiness of this and am using it for a greenhouse to protect my plants from the deer, squirrels and other critters. Instruction were pretty easy to follow but I suggest you read through them a few time before assembly. One thing to note: if you have dexterity issues with your dominant hand, assembly may be difficult for you. I lost dexterity in my right hand when I had a stroke, and pushing the two little knobs in at the same time as you put the pieces together was difficult, I had to use painter's tape to hold down one while I pushed the other with my fingers. Also the door is a bit difficult to figure out and adjust. Overall, very happy. I did buy rebar ubolts to secure the unit to the ground as we have high winds here.

This run took us about 6 hours over a few days to complete. The frame was a breeze. We opted for 1 X 1 welded wire in lieu of the chicken wire that came with the kit. Chicken wire is not really strong enough to deter critters from chewing through, so it will be used for something else. We also used our own tarp that we already had, so the one that came with the kit will be repurposed. The welded wire is a bit of a chore, but it will be much better for predator protection. The door latch is okay, but if predators are really an issue, a stronger lock might be needed. We love the streamlined look of the run, and the chooks have a roomy, shaded and dry area to roam around. It was a worthwhile investment. Although it ended up being a bit pricey because we didn't use some of the components, we would recommend this run to other chicken keepers.
