Top Amazon Reviews

  • Up and pedaling in under an hour! Good product for the price.
For starters, let's put this review in perspective. I'm female, over 60, with bad knees. I can manage a screwdriver, drill, and very basic maintenance and assembly, but I'm not going to build a shed or change an electrical outlet. So, when reading this review, keep that in mind. When this arrived and I looked at the assembly diagram, I was immediately horrified. The first page of the manual shows the "exploded" diagram of the control panel, and I thought I was going to have to assemble it piece by piece! Noooooo! But no. Not the case. Really, the manufacturer shouldn't lead with that in the manual!! The box contained several major pieces, and the nuts and bolts were already in place, loosely connected. I didn't have to identify various nuts and bolts from a mixed up package. Remove the nut and bolt (and washer) from one of the parts, put the connecting piece in place, then reconnect the nut and bolt (and washer). Really, all I had to do was put the seat, bases, handlebars/screen, and pedals on the body of the bike. The package includes an alan key and a small wrench, so I didn't even need my tool box! Woo hoo! It is VERY VERY quiet to pedal! Almost no noise at all. No problem hearing a television or audiobook, or holding a conversation while pedaling. The resistance is easy to set, and ranges from easy to "pedaling through thick mud." The screen is very basic, but easy to read. Distance, RPM, time, and pulse are mostly what I'd be interested in anyway, and it provides all of that. I believe that pedaling powers the screen, but two batteries are included in the box. Perhaps those allow the screen to remember time and distance. Not sure. There's even a place to hold my phone so I can listen to a book or music while I pedal! I found that the bike did not scoot around the (wood) floor as I pedaled, so I didn't need a mat under it. It didn't rock side to side, either, so I felt quite secure. Only a couple of negatives, in my opinion. In the recumbent position, the seat back is a bit too reclining for my preference. Nothing a pillow behind my back won't fix. The seat back does not adjust, so the recline make sense in order that it is in a good position for "upright" bike position (not recumbent). The manual shows assembly diagrams, but little else. You're on your own to figure out how the screen works, I think. A person with very long legs might find that the pedals don't allow a full leg extension. It's about enough for me, but when I'm on a gym-grade (or high end home-grade) recumbent bike, I find I prefer a more extended reach than I get on this one. Those bikes are MUCH more expensive, heavier, and bigger. This one does just fine for my purpose. The bike does fold up, so one could tuck it into a corner, but it's not going to be inconspicuous. There are little rollers on the bottom of the base, which engage when the bike is tipped to be moved or stored. That's a great help. The weight of the bike helps with stability (good!), but the weight does limit how easy it is to move around. I can move it on my own, but it won't be something I'll do every day. Getting ON the bike can be a bit challenging for me. I suppose I could mount it like a horse - put a foot on a pedal and swing the other leg over - but that's not really going to happen. Instead, I step over the center of the bike so one leg is on each side, then get onto the seat. Even in recumbent position that center piece is rather high for a short person with bad knees. In the "upright" bike position it would be somewhat higher. I'm not sure how this style of bike (collapsible and adjustable) could be other than how it is, but that first step is a challenge. All of the above considered, I recommend this to someone looking for a basic home exercise bike ... show more

  • Exceeded expectations!!
I was VERY hesitant to order this bike mainly due to the low price and a few bad reviews. I figured it would have some issue because how could it be so inexpensive and be a quality bike but not wanting to spend $800+ I decided to give it a try. I am happy to report that this little bike is AMAZING. My husband owns his own physical therapy company with commercial grade bikes and this little guy is just as smooth as any of the bikes he has at his facility. Pros - surprisingly smooth sturdy Compact (but I am only 5'3 and 110lbs so not sure how someone 6'+ or over 200lbs would feel on it) back rest (which I needed due to a balance/vertigo issue I am having) easy to move seat is larger than a normal bike seat making it more comfortable could actually feel the difference in resistance levels ( my mom has a bike that no matter what you change it to they all feel the same) but this one has a notable difference. super quiet Cons - One thing I found, which has nothing to do with the quality of the bike, is that in recumbent position even with the seat lowered all the way, if I did not have on a thick soled athletic shoe it was a bit of a stretch for me but I just put a pillow behind me. For reference I am only 5'3. If the bike was in upright position I do not have this problem. Depending on what this bike is used for the highest level of resistance may not be enough. But please know why I say this. Personally level 10 is too much for me. At 46 going through some health issues I am holding steady at level 3 right now so I have a ways to grow into the highest level of resistance. However. my 19 year old goes to those extreme cycling classes that are super intense so in comparison the resistance was a bit weaker than what she is used to. She also said it wasn't the type of bike you can stand up and ride like at her class. But remember, those are commercial bikes costing several thousands of dollars. I did not purchase the bike with that in mind. I just needed a small bike with a backrest that was smooth and offered decent resistance. I wasn't going to include her opinion but this might help someone decide if this bike is right for them. If you are looking for a hardcore cycling bike that you can stand and ride at a high resistance this bike is not for you. If like me you just need something to get you moving with smooth, comfortable, compact features then this is DEFINITELY the bike for you. ... show more

  • Functional!
You'll have to do a partial assembly...but the bike is great! It's sturdy, great weight, stable. It is limited in its resistance, but it works great for me, a senior. Best investment I made, and during the pandemic. I still faithfully use it and don't have any complaints about this product.
