We got 2 sets and currently have it set up in a 3x5 rectangle that is 2-3 panels high. The bottom 1-2 levels are metal and chew proof and the top level is plastic and climb proof. This might actually be a playpen that keeps our rats safely contained! I've ordered another set so that we can have a 4x5 rectangle that has 2 full levels of metal and then a top level of plastic. We don't have the final configuration yet, so we haven't added zip ties. When we do, we will make the 4 sides zip tied so they stay together nicely between uses and we will just attach at the corners when we set it up. I haven't figured out a way to make it just fold up and still be sturdy. We definitely need 2 people to set it up, but that might be easier once we have the sides zip ties. Our rats have destroyed or escaped from the other popular playpen options but I am optimistic about this one. ... show more

It's.....ok. A few caveats...some of the wires are a bit bent. Shipping takes a while. It still came before the projected date though. The door is a little janky too. I thought to buy one set and see how I felt about it, and then perhaps buy a second in order to build levels and such, but because the panels are rectangle shaped, that doesn't really work. My bad. Anyways, this is for our small lionhead bunny. Two panels high, set lengthwise, is a sufficient height to keep him contained. It made a nice big space for him with room to add toys and a tunnel and such. So he's pretty happy. I bought this set purely because one of the panels has a door so I can let him go in and out as he pleases. It works. It's not perfect, but it works, and it's better and roomier than what we had. The set comes with zip ties to secure everything, in addition to a bunch of extra connectors. I like the solid panels to go on the bottom--helps keep the bunny mess a bit more contained. ... show more

This setup up is great. Easy to assemble, ample space for two guinea pigs and comes with zip ties for stability. I like being able to design their space for them according to what works. BUT..... This is NOT an acceptable setup for a young guinea pig!! I've learned the hard way if they aren't full sized piggies, you want grids that are 9x9 and these are 7x7. We had a MAJOR scare when our 4 month old guinea pig got stuck halfway through a square. Luckily my daughters were right by the cage when it happened and my husband was able to pry the bars after working them with some pliers but I definitely want everyone to be aware that if you're buying for guinea pigs, please be sure they're full grown. ... show more

We have a very large amount of bunnies. While they are so cute they must eat. We created a blockage to keep them out until we could find special kind of fence for the area. If you have rodents as pets you'll quickly realize its impossible to keep them constrained to a play area unless you completely block it off. They are also not the type of animal you can let free roam because they pee/poo everywhere, and chew/destroy anything in their path, and I mean everything. God help you if you allow that in your house. I have a 6' x 6' washable pee pad (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B5QVVM5J/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), surrounded by this cage 2 sections tall as a play area for pet rats. I initially tried just one 15" section high, but the rats quickly decided to climb over. I'm now at two 15" sections tall, and they quit climbing about halfway up, but I suspect they will keep trying until they eventually get over. For now it constrains them well enough I can leave them alone for 10 min without worrying if they've escaped. I've considered buying more for outdoor play as well, but these are not exactly cheap. ... show more

i liked this product!! it was a bit hard to build tho.. and smaller then i expected.. for the price i would say it was a really good item if u have a bunny. i would say that i wouldve liked it better if it wasnt so time consuming to build
