    • DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE...It has been over 2 MONTHS and Seagate still has not replaced it..
Support has been the WORST. The drive lost the ability to be docked or recognized...I tried repair from my Mac, did not work. It wasn't recognized by any computer I have. When I contacted Seagate, they said only 2 days to receive a replacement. Then they changed it to 5 days. A month later, still no drive arrived. Then they said it would only be 5 more days. 2 months later, there is still no drive sent out. The Check Status on their site still with my order number still says "Not yet proceeded." SEAGATE SUPPORT? .... I am literally talking to yet another Seagate "support agent" as I write this review, and they just do not care about the problems caused. Everyone I talk to uses the same scripted words "escalate the issue" "understand your concern" "check for updates" "check with my team"...it's just the same scripted responses like I'm talking to kids working on their phones spread out in different places all over the world without any knowledge or authority to do anything. f Meanwhile...40TB of footage held up...the project is over 2 months delayed.     • No longer buy Lacie
Upon attempting to configure the raid on my Lacie drive, the device prompted me to press the power button to confirm the desired rate. However, this action resulted in the device’s complete shutdown. Unfortunately, there were no comprehensive instructions available on the Seagate website or YouTube. Additionally, it appears that the Lacie drive I received had been opened, and it lacked the appropriate drives. Instead, it contained server drives instead of the intended IronWolf drives. Consequently, I am no longer inclined to recommend Lacie as a reliable drive manufacturer. ... show more

Good disk with good performance and large capacity. I've been buying LaCie disks for decades and I agree with others that the quality diminished greatly when Seagate took over. Disk cannot be formatted and is now an expensive paper weight. I will replace it with another vendor's product.
