This is an excellent 16” wall clock with very easy to read digits and hands. I gave it 5 Stars and Highly Recommended and it’s very affordable!!! I’d even recommend to my most discerning, snobbish friends. It looks very nice and elegant in a utilitarian kind of way. The silver ones are the best. I actually purchased three of them - 2 for me and 1 for my parents who are older and need a very legible wall clock so they can take their medications on time. I can even read them without my glasses when I wake up in the morning. This was the primary reason why I selected a large 16” wall clock. I really like the option to put three AA batteries for the clock, which will ensure it does not need to be replaced and keep running for a very, very long time. I allowed the clocks to set themselves through tough its Atomic Clock synchronization. It took maybe 6 hours after the installation of the battery, which is OK since I installed them in the early evening, and it was already set to the correct time for Pacific Time by around 11:00PM. I verified it against an Atomic Clock App on my iPhone and it is very, very accurate down to the seconds. The final feature I really liked is that it is SUPER QUIET. No ticking sound that will keep me up at night since I have one in our bedroom. I highly recommend purchasing this clock for larger walls and for an area of the house where everyone look at frequently around the home. So far this is working great and picks up WWVB inside my metal shop building. It adjusted properly for DST even though there was a stormy night and my usually reliable Casio watch missed the signal. I suspect the design has been updated from what I have seen in earlier reviews. The movement appears to be held in place with screws now so I am hoping the old problem of the glue coming loose and allowing the movement to shift and pull the hands off is no longer an issue. This is a big, bold clock. I would guess that the "metal" is stainless as it is a good match for other stainless appliances/gadgets in my kitchen. It is a lot thicker than expected whereas it looks rather flat in the pictures. Also, the style of the letters looks a little "school yard", but it is still a nice, big, bold clock, except for one problem... It won't set. I live near the top of a hill with a clear unobstructed view of the sky in generally the right direction. It has only one wall in its way from receiving a signal. There are no other buildings, houses, or anything. It would not set after 3 or 4 days. It was always 4 o'clock. I was hoping to check it out before the daylight savings time switch, but never got that far. I decided to stick with my older $10 drugstore atomic clock which doesn't have the daylight savings switch feature. A final, non-critical ding was that it had a lot of greasy finger prints on it (more so in the grain of the brushed metal). I took a chance given the bad reviews, but the very cheap Chinese mechanism ruins the otherwise handsome clock. ... show more

I have another clock by the same company that is 5 1/2 years old. I have NEVER changed the battery and it keeps perfect time. It auto-resets for daylight savings time. Never had to touch the clock and love it! So I purchased this for another room in the house. The clock is great, just can't say much for the shipping. Had to return the 1st clock as it did not work. It was put in a huge box and it flailed around inside the box. The box was ripped and torn when I received it. The clock didn't work, so I returned it for a replacement. The replacement clock wasn't shipped in a box at all. I'm surprised it arrived looking okay. I expected to return it due to the bad shipping. But, it works perfectly! So, I'm good! Ordinarily, I'd given the clock 5 stars, but subtracted 1 star due to the half hazard shipping. Don't know if a gorrilla is packing these or some young 4 year old.     • Easy To Read, Spot On Accurate!

I purchased one of these in 2012 and it hung on my office wall ever since. It finally gave out 11 years later. I figured 347,133,600+ seconds ticked off was an acceptable working life for a wall clock. So I bought a new one. The newer version has extra battery slots so it will probably last longer between battery changes (but over the years, I think the old one used like 1 AA battery per year). I've always loved the nice size and it's easy to peek over out of the corner of my eye while working. While I program computers all day and have a clock on the screen, there's something about an analog clock that just let's you feel where you are in your work day. All that being said, my favorite feature is the "Atomic Time" dead on accuracy. Working in IT, I monitor several servers and they have jobs that fire off at various times during the day. Very satisfying when you see the clock on the wall's second hand tick to 12 and see the job fire off at the exact same moment. 16" sounds big, but it's not overbearing in my opinion. It's a substantial size and you get the time with just a glance. And the second hand will be dead on accurate with you computer or mobile phone. ... show more

This will hopefully put an end to years of frustration. We have had a large wall clock positioned above our refrigerator in the kitchen. It, like so many wall clocks, is powered by the small, plastic, made-in-China, one battery mechanism. Even using a lithium battery, it just didn't last and periodically hesitated as the battery ran down. So we had to pull out the refrigerator, get on a ladder and remove it from the wall to replace the battery and reverse the process to attach it again. This clock has a triple battery system (two are optional) and advertises it can last up to 5 years! Moving the refrigerator and getting on a ladder, anywhere close to once in 5 years, will be worth many times the cost of the clock. The set up of the clock was easy and it found the Atomic Time within 15 minutes. It has kept perfect time since installing. Very pleased with our purchase of this quality wall clock. ... show more
