Im in love! I have been using Nutrisse for years, medium blonde. I was ok with it, but it just kinda too red for me for the 1st 2 weeks. I thought that's just what it had to be? Got better after a few washings? But decided I needed a change. Nutrisse doesn't have the shade that I am going for, Ash Blonde. But L'Oreal does. I was REALLY hoping it would turn out ok, because I was used to the other product and method, and I wasnt completely sure of the color. But IT IS PERFECT! Exactly my natural shade, but a smidge better. Now, when it grows out a bit, it wont be very noticeable (a perk of being blonde, the grays dont stand out too much for a while). I have used this color (as well as several other blondes among the Superior Preference line) several times for the past 6 years. However this was my first time buying it on Amazon and it was great. I was nervous about buying box dye online but I recently moved somewhere without a nearby drugstore in walking distance so I had no choice. But this box of 7.5A is the same as the ones I bought in the store. I have mousy medium brown hair and it gives me a warm brown color with subtle blonde highlights. Of course I'm not upset it's brown on my since my hair is so brown and I avoid DIY bleach to prevent damaging my hair. I love how this transforms my boring hair color into a great rich hue. Sometimes I touch my roots up with this once every couple of months and other times I hold out for up to 4 months. I will be honest that I only have about 3 grey hairs so I can't speak to how it performs on grey, but it gives great results for me. It doesn't completely fade since it's permanent but I notice with 7.5A as the toner fades my hair ends up warmer, and lighter/blonder over several weeks. The smell is a bit intense but I wrap my hair in a shower cap while applying it to avoid a mess and mask some of the smell. However I feel the smell is a small price to pay because I otherwise love the results and how much money I save with this hair dye rather than going to a salon. Sometimes I switch from 7.5A and use 8 or 7 and I love the natural results. This line has never let me down for the past 6 years and I have no intention of trying other brands as it's my holy grail. ... show more

This hair dye works extremely well for me. It is very easy to measure out because both parts are liquid and not a thick cream, which makes splitting portions simple. The included shampoo, conditioner, and gloves are nice extras, although I usually use my own gloves. The results last a long time, the color stays stable, and my hair has not felt damaged even after using this every six weeks for the past two years. I have used and enjoyed this product for years. The box I opened this morning seemed normal....and is marked 7.5 Ashe Blonde....BUT. When applying the color, it was ORANGE. Since I know this is part of the process of an extra light blonde, I hit all the hair, left it on for only 7 minutes and proceeded to wash it out. Sure enough, the strands on the very top that has become brassy were now super light blonde. I cannot imagine if this was a factory event or if someone in the middle of the night decided to have fun and just switch all the colors around?
