Don’t buy from this seller. I went to use and couldn’t because it’s missing part 2 of the activator solution. Not in the box!!! So I can’t color my hair and I got ripped off. I’m so mad!! And it’s the only one that doesn’t go red on me. I put this stuff on my roots and then use a real platinum blonde on the ends. If I use this color I don’t get any orange color. I love it. Update. This most recent purchase of this color left an orange undertone. Brassyness. I used some brass corrector but it didn’t do much to help. Don’t understand why this would happen all of a sudden with a product I’ve used a few times already. I will give it another try though. Update : third time buying color was right on. Initially seemed too dark, but I like how it ended up, with no brass this time. I put this color on, then put on extreem blonde so I have the look of being blonde with dark roots. To have this done at a salon it costs about $100!!! I do it myself for less than $20, and I do it faster in the comfort of my own home I’m a happy and smart blond! 🤗

I ordered 4a; it’s not as ashy as I hoped but still a pretty color! Super strong ammonia smell

I don’t hate the color, but I will say that the color wasn’t quite what I expected. I bought the 4a dark ash brown, but as soon as I got out of the shower I noticed that it had quite a bit of red still. My hair naturally always pull red, so im not super surprised. But I guess I just expected something different from the ash dye instead of neutral or even just cool. But it’s not super red anyway so it’s alright!! I’ve dyed my hair with box dye quite a few times throughout my life, so the process was normal and easy. One thing I couldn’t help but notice was how strong the ammonia smell was with this one. It burned my eyes and smelled so bad; I turned on my fan to try to get some airflow but it was still really unbearable at times haha. One thing I love as always about box dyes is the conditioner it comes with!!! Soooo good and leaves me hair so pretty and smooth:) now the color is dimensional and pretty, just not exactly what I was hoping for. Great for My root touch-up.

I am 41 years old, and my hairdresser says I am 30% gray. Ugh! I can't stand gray hair, and although I love my hairdresser, I am not spending money to get my roots touched up every few weeks. I have a balayage with caramel and my dark brown natural (now naturally grey) on top. I see the grays coming and I run and order this product. I do my hair a little differently. I have a bowl, and a hair dye brush. I mix the dye in the containers, and pour out in the bowl. Put the back of my hair (the part that is caramel) up in a hair band and use the brush to color my roots, and the hair on the nape of my neck. I keep on for around 30 minutes, then wash out in the shower. If I didn't use the brush, I would probably ruin my balayage, and I don't want to do this. If you are looking for a root touch up and you have additional color or highlights in your hair, I suggest using this product, but purchasing an additional hair color brush and little mixing bowl. They have root kits, but I find they don't work the same. I swear by this product and absolutely LOVE the conditioner it comes with. No one thinks I do my own touch up, as this product produces professional results! And for less than ten bucks? You can't beat this price! It would cost me over $100 to go to the salon every 4-6 weeks for a touch up. This product is a life-saver and money saver!
