I am really pleased with this product. My hair is naturally medium brown, and the ends were a dark blonde from a faded previous dye. The Intense Red Copper turned out to be a great shade, and it covered both the natural and dyed hair evenly. I did have to leave it on much longer than the recommended 25 minutes to get close to the color on the box (40-50 minutes), but that wasn't a big deal since I did a couple of test strands to figure out the timing. The color is a very pretty, dark orange-red, but the type that looks natural. It was a bit too bright until the first shampoo 3 days later, but now it's perfect and I've gotten a ton of compliments. My only complaints are that the color is a little monotone, lacks the natural highlights that un-dyed hair has, and my hair is still a little dry, despite the conditioner that comes with it. Overall I really like this product. As for giving me the color that's on the box, I'd give it 5 stars it was a very nice dark brown that was able to cover my reddish/orange left in my hair from a previous dye I had awhile ago and I only had to use one box, although I did order two and I'd recommend getting two if you have really long or thick hair, my hair is pretty long but it's on the thinner side. However the smell is pretty strong , it has a chemical smell with a hint of fragrance at first it bothered me I'd have to keep walking away from where I was dying my hair so I could get some fresh air but after a little while it didn't bother me anymore. Also the dye itself isn't very thick it's a little runny so be careful because I got alot on the floor, I'd also be careful with it getting all over your skin because it does stain the skin pretty good some hair dye I can just wipe right off afterwards but this one didn't come off so easily. So with all that being said I do like the dye and my hair came out smooth and shiny and I would definitely order again. ... show more

I have loved this Intense Copper Red Color for years, it is very popular, so most times out of stock. Finally they got what they claimed was new fresh inventory, so I ordrered 4 boxes (I use 2 at a time since I have long hair). Opened one box and mixed the ingredients, came out as usual apricot colored, opened second box and mixed the ingredients and was horrified to see the color pouring into the developer looked almost black!?!? I mixed it up and it came out like a Dried Blood Color!?! I was horrified, I opened up a 3rd box and mixed the ingredients and again it came up the normal Apricot color. I called my adult son in to help confirm it wasn't just my eyes and he took pictures. I checked all 3 color bottles and they have the same coding on them, BUT as you can obviously see, one of the was completely the wrong color!! I dodged a bullet by having a spare box, if I had been cautious mixing both bottle at the same time, I could have wound up with 2 entirely different colors on my head, and being that both are Red color, it would have been disastrous to try and remove or correct the color!!! I probably would have had to go to a Dark Color. ... show more
