  • Perfect non-damaging toner for blonde hair
Color: Platinum Pearl Size: 4 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I am on my third tube of platinum pearl and I can't express how much I love this stuff. When I bleach my roots I end up with level 9 yellow hair, which I then use Shades EQ to turn into more of an icy/gray blonde. But once that toner starts fading, the yellow creeps back in and that's when I start using this product. I leave it on for at least an hour under a shower cap, which DOES leave just a hint of lavender in my hair but I like that and intentionally leave it on for way longer than directed because I want that hint of color. It DOES darken up my blonde due to leaving it on for so long but that's the look I'm going for. The smell is pleasant and my hair is SOOOO soft after I rinse, despite all the abuse I put it through with bleaching and toners. Also, I scoured the reviews before purchasing and noticed almost everybody who included pictures and complained about the product "doing nothing" used the wrong color. They either started off with hair that was too dark for the product to have an effect, or used the incorrect color to neutralize. So for the first issue of using this product on dark hair - this is a color-depositing product, it does not lift at all so if your hair starts off DARKER than the color that is coming out of the tube, your results will be almost imperceptible, or you will get no results at all. If you use blush BLONDE on brown hair, guess what - it's not going to do anything, because it is impossible to see a lighter color on dark hair. The color may be there, but you won't see it. Look at the color of the model's hair on the box - if your hair is significantly darker than that, chances are you will not see significant results. I will say, some of the before/afters in the product photos are misleading in my opinion, which I'm not a fan of because it gives people unrealistic expectations. Like the plum color most certainly will not turn truly black hair a bright purple like the photos claim, especially if it's virgin hair unless maaaaybe you're in very bright direct sunlight, but that's another discussion. If you are attempting to neutralize undertones, you have to choose the correct color based on what tone you are attempting to neutralize. Look at a color wheel. Purple neutralizes yellow, blue neutralizes orange. If you have orange brassy roots and use purple, it won't work. If you have yellow brass and use blue, same deal. And you cannot fix a bad bleach job with a product like this - if you do not lift your hair enough and end up with really orange roots or streaks, you need to bleach again, a color-depositing conditioner is not going to fix a bad bleach job. Your hair must be light enough for the conditioner to be able to neutralize. I do wish the products were labeled with what color the product actually is because that might help but do some research and choose the color that is appropriate for your hair, or do another round of bleach if your hair can tolerate it. But this product is not going to magically fix hair that was not lifted properly. This product also must be applied COMPLETELY evenly, otherwise you WILL get streaks. It takes me a good 20 minutes to work this through my semi-thick boob-length hair because if you don't fully saturate every strand, guess what - those strands will not be affected and you will end up with streaky hair. I haphazardly slapped this in my hair the first time I used it and I did end up with streaks. I've since learned my lesson and I section my hair into 6 parts and apply to each section until it is fully saturated from root to tip. And if certain parts of your hair are more damaged (aka pourous) the color will stick to those parts more as well. I start with the hair growing from the nape of my neck since it's less damaged, then move up my scalp and do the hair growing from the crown of my head last, which gets more abuse from the flat iron and therefore is more porous. Ends tend to be more damaged/porous compared to roots, so if that is a concern for you, apply to hair closer to the scalp first and slowly work your way down. ... show more

  • A must for brassiness
Color: Platinum Pearl Size: 4 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I have long light ash blonde hair (it's not bleached, just dyed), I purchased the color Platinum since it felt like my hair was getting too golden and brassy. Well my hair turned lavender in the past from Shimmer Lights so I left this on for only about 30 seconds before completely rinsing it out. It definitely conditions hair extremely well without weighing me down. My entire head was lavender though- I wasn't upset though, I was already kind of expecting it, if you have blonde hair that's super fine like mine, it just tends to happen. The funny part is, everyone loved it and thought I did it professionally. The GREAT thing about this though is, if your hair turns purple- DONT PANIC. It will 95% wash away the very next time you shampoo and condition and then it's completely gone after that. I was impressed with the results though. Even though my hair was Lavender, it washed out almost completely next day I washed my hair. It rinsed away all of the brassy gold though and my hair almost looked white. Normally I'd need an actual toner for that but this went above and beyond what a toner does...without the damage. The price is super reasonable too, definitely recommend but for the first time, DONT leave it for more than 30 seconds unless you're ok with a temp color change, definitely experiment with the timing lol ... show more

  • Recommended, with a warning
Color: Silver Size: 4 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I like this purple goo. Despite the appearance of the box, it’s really just a purple conditioner. It’s the best one I’ve found, though. It’s enabling me to grow out my silver grandma halo, without hacking off the years of blonde highlights. It’s a good product. If you use it too often, however, your hair dries up something terrible! I’ve gotten in the habit of using a hask (hair mask) on days I don’t use this goo. ... show more

  • I am beyond impressed!
Color: Rich Brunette Size: 4 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I recently tried the L'Oreal Paris Le Color One Step Toning Hair Gloss in Rich Brunette, and I am beyond impressed! As someone with brunette hair, I've always struggled to find the perfect product to enhance and refresh my color without the commitment of a full dye job. This hair gloss is a game-changer. Firstly, the application process couldn't be easier. With just one step, I was able to achieve salon-worthy results from the comfort of my own home. The creamy formula glided effortlessly through my hair, evenly distributing the product for a seamless finish. The results were incredible. Not only did the hair gloss enhance the richness and depth of my brunette color, but it also added a beautiful shine that made my hair look healthier and more vibrant than ever before. I received compliments left and right on how radiant my hair looked! What I love most about this product is its longevity. Unlike other hair treatments that fade quickly, the L'Oreal Paris Le Color One Step Toning Hair Gloss kept my hair looking fresh and vibrant for weeks on end. It's the perfect solution for maintaining salon-quality color between appointments. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this hair gloss. It's easy to use, delivers stunning results, and offers long-lasting color enhancement. If you're looking to refresh your brunette hair or add some shine to your locks, I highly recommend giving this product a try. You won't be disappointed! ... show more

  • Had a very different experience than the reviews indicated
Color: Silver White Size: 4 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I have naturally white hair with a few silver strands underneath, and was looking for shine and toning down the brassiness [ it was mild ] I read the reviews where users were even using it dry to get more effect.. so I felt if I just followed the directions it would be fine. I think my hair may be more porous, but after washing, rinsing, leaving the toner on for 10 min, my hair has a purple cast. I even washed it after rinsing out the toner and still this happened. If your hair is soft and porous [natural white often is] use smaller amts, and don't leave on very long. I may try just mixing it with my own conditioner and applying a much smaller amount, if I am brave enough to use it again. Also, there is no shine. FYI I used Silver White. ... show more
