If you want a permanent home solution this is the one this color has stayed, I tried redoing my hair another color, but this color held on and stayed I tried again still red, it definitely lasts but make sure this is the color you want cuz it stays. Man does it stay. My hair was dark brown.

My favorite “box” hair color of all time. I have used L’Oréal for years, all the different types, and colors, but I decided to see how much lift I could get without bleach, and time my white hairs blonde. this is by far my favorite formula of all time for that purpose. My hair is naturally dark brown, but is now salt and pepper with a lot of salt around my face. As you can see, the level of lift I get with this non ammonia formula is surprising. The neutral toning really works and is unlike anyone other. My hair is soft and healthy. Love how it blends my colors so naturally. Gives a hint of gold, but that is to be expected with lightening dark hair. It is no where near the orange shade that other formulas give. I use N7. ... show more

This is the perfect base. The color was 6N light brown. If you used to have blonde hair when you were a kid, that darken over time and you have been highlighting it, 6N is the perfect base. I has some grey hairs that it didn’t completely cover. I loved, the application, the fact that it didn’t irritate my scalp, and the end result was not flat, the color has so much dimension. I applied it on my roots and left the big lites pieces out, left for 20 minutes, the applied the rest on mid way through the ends and left it for another 5 minutes. The shampoo and conditioner that comes with the skit are great too. All and all I highly recommend it!! ... show more

I was a little disappointed in this particular Excellence color b/c it did not have good coverage, & when mixing & applying the color it seemed quite weak, unlike all of the other colors of Excellence i have used before.

My go to hair dye. Easy to apply, does not drip and make a mess. The biggest positive is that this does not bother my very sensitive skin. Many other dyes create an itching or burning sensation, but this one never has.
