I have been using L’Oréal Excellence Cream for many years and it is still impressive.this is my first time using this particular color. I bought this color to get my hair back to my “natural” dark brown color, so I can let my salt and pepper grow back in. I have used the maple brown for years and needed to get rid of the red. The last box of L’Oréal I purchased was dark ash brown and was the Supreme Preference . Ruined my hair and still had a large majority of red in my hair. I found this and instead of using the 20 volume developer that is supplied in the box, I used my own 10 volume and my hair turned out perfect! Very little to no red and it is my exact natural shade. Great coverage on the grey hair. I really like the shampoo and conditioner as well, left my hair really shiny and soft without it feeling weighed down. If I wasn’t letting my grey grow out, I would definitely buy this from now on and I highly recommend this to others.

Beautifully warm copper tone. And one of the few box colors that will NOT turn your roots hot, if you are a NATURAL redhead that’s got grey/whites to cover. I‘ve not had any issues with it being harsh to my hair, but rather am always left with a beautifully glossy color and shine. When I can’t make it to my hair dresser, this is my absolute favorite go-to.

I wanted to neutralize the yellow in my hair. I tried purple shampoo for a while which made my very fine hair brittle. Then I tried Keracolor Clenditioner which was making my hair fall out and the scent was too strong. LeGloss is awesome but doesn't last very long. I really didn't want to add permanent color, but I have to get rid of this yellow. I was really scared because ash can turn blondes into green if they have a blue base. I only left it on for 10 minutes and I love the result. I am so happy. No green!

I initially wasn't thrilled with the result but after a week or so of my regular washing it was just right. It could be because I went to extra lengths thoroughly shaking the color before using that it gave me a more solid color result but it did work out to looking right. I have some grey and it did color it up. I like how my hair feels after coloring- the coarser grey hairs feel more natural again. I always have enough conditioner left over to use for months after coloring which is a bonus.

I used to get my hair colored professionally but seriously for the price of this stuff, you can't beat it. I have had many compliments on my hair color and have been using this for years. When people say " i love your hair color" I tell them " Excellence 8G" when my grey comes in, I just put it on my roots. Its easy to apply and doesn't smell that bad.
