  • Bye bye Red
Size: 7.8 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I used this with water to help remove red pigment from my hair, and it did exactly what I needed it to do. It mixed easily without clumping and lifted the color evenly. I was happy with the results, and my hair didn’t feel overly damaged afterward when used with the proper developer and hair care routine. If you’re looking for a reliable lightener to help remove stubborn color, this is a solid option. ... show more

  • Wow!!
Size: 7.8 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This stuff really works and was so easy to use! I had blue/green stained bleached hair and wanted to go back to platinum. I ended up mixing this with 2 oz. of warm distilled water and added 1 oz. of clarifying shampoo for more of a color remover bath. I also started with damp hair to make the application more even. I was worried this would lighten my natural hair color as well because I have naturally black hair and overgrown roots but it didn’t lift my natural hair at all! I left it in my hair for 20 minutes, rinsed it out, applied it again for 20 minutes, and my hair went back to almost perfectly pale yellow! I was then able to tone it to the platinum color I wanted. I’ll definitely be using this again next time I want to remove color from stained hair! ... show more

  • What it did was take the blue to a light minty green (very pretty actually) and the brown barely one level
Size: 7.8 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I had high hopes for this product. I've been coloring the top part of my hair dark brown for ages and had tried to lighten it awhile back (with bleach) with absolutely no success.I also had blue dye on the bottom part of my hair. I was hoping this would lift the brown out so I could go a little lighter. What it did was take the blue to a light minty green (very pretty actually) and the brown barely one level. There was blonde underneath the brown so I figured it would go lighter. Not terrible results considering nothing else would budge it. The reason I'm giving it three stars is because my hair feels just like I left bleach in for forty minutes, very very dry and a little spongy, however it lightened none of my virgin hair. O_o But it did something so... UPDATE: I did this a second time and it took a lot of color out. I don't know whether the first packet was weird or if I just had way too many layers in my hair. The second time DID work! But it does damage your hair a bit, ESPECIALLY if you don't cover it with a wrap or a bag or something. I reccomend using coconut oil underneath. But after a few rounds of deep conditioner and an aphogee protein treatment it was fine. I know all the reviews say to buy two packs if you have longer hair, but I think it all depends on how thick it is. I bought two but one covered my entire head perfectly fine and my hair hits about mid-chest but is fine. ... show more

  • L’Oréal color remover
Size: 7.8 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Bleached my colored wig knots sooo well. I used it to bleach my 99J wig and it made the wig look like it grew out of my scalp. I only used about two tablespoons and it worked perfectly. I wish the package had a seal so I could reseal what I didn’t use.

  • Don't expect it to take away all color...
Size: 7.8 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
My natural color is light brown. I have been dying it a chestnut brown for a few years (reddish highlights, but a single color not "salon highlights" , just a rich, reddish-tone brown the shows reddish in the sunlight especially. I've used Salermvision for years). I noticed more white hair coming and figured it's time to start going a bit lighter as over time my hair was definitely showing the dark shades towards the ends that results from coloring over time with few trims or on the ends of hair that are more porous and accept the dye. It was getting darker at the ends and my root coloring was evident to me. My plan was to use this to remove all that darker brown that accumulated over the years, starting fresh with no color. (White? my natural dark brown?) Well, folks, I had a gorgeous orange the color of freshly-picked carrots under a disco ball when I used this. A step away from neon punk rock orange. No problem, it was not what I expected, but I figured my new "light brown" would take when I dyed it a couple days later. Not. I was still a redhead, albeit toned down a bit. I received nothing but compliments on my new color, but it was clearly red. Not burgundy, auburn, but a dark-ish carrot-top. I love it, but it wasn't the expected outcome. That first coloring left me with amazing depth and tones all over the place, really glistening in the light. I got so many compliments, and comments, that my haircolor changed. I had planned on a subtle change to a lighter color, and instead had a full-on new color. Seriously, everyone loved it, said it suited my coloring/skin tone, etc., but it was drastic. A couple weeks later I dyed it a light brown again, and wouldn't you know, I'm closer to the chestnut brown I started with, even though the color this time was a dark ashe blond/light brown color with no reds. It's not quite as dark, but pretty close. This second dying about 3 weeks later has toned down the color change from "hey, did you dye your hair" to it is not noticeable except for the style now. I like subtle and stand out for my overall aesthetic, not a shock from drastic change. My hair is not in the same condition as it was before, I will say that while my results worked out great for the look/color, (lucky unplanned mistake), the condition of my hair was definitely dry/damaged at the ends. So I cut layers everywhere, keeping the length in the back so it's not quite so noticeable I did. It's a couple inches past shoulder length. I had long layers before, but now have overall layering so it "just" doesn't reach a ponytail in the back w/o gel or hairspray to hold it in place. It will grow, I cut about 2" off overall, and I've learned my lesson (I'm not a pro or a chemist, I will stick to coloring). I wrote this long review so you would be helped and not surprised. This color remover will remove build-up but not take your hair down to a neutral palet/blank slate to work with, you have to know how to manage color for the resultant base. Good luck! ... show more

  • Excellent
Size: 7.8 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I have been dying my hair with pravana purple/red/wild orchid mixture (semi permanent) every 3 weeks for the past 8 months. I used this stripper as a shampoo (wet hair with warm water, applied stripper and worked it into a lather) with 20v developer. I barely left it in for 20 minutes, I could see the color lifting almost instantly. Since I am dyeing my hair a medium brown, I am very happy with the results. I also only needed one packet, I typically have to use 2 or 3 of everything. Considering the amount of dye I've been applying to maintain my hair color, this is impressive. My hair was still faintly purple towards the ends, but that's probably because my hair is stained from over processing. It does damage hair and leave it dry but not nearly as bad as bleach would. I just used a moisturizing conditioner with a leave in and got a trim. The 3rd photo is what my hair looks like now, after dyeing over. ... show more

  • Nope
Size: 7.8 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Don’t use this unless you want to completely bleach your hair. I just don’t understand why some products’ selling points are centered around removing unwanted color. And yes, I read the fine print, the reviews, the ratings and shop around before using a product like this. This one said it removes the color in your color treated hair, but doesn’t return it to your natural color. The first one I used was Color oops. That was a bust so I shopped around and did my research and finally settled on this one. BIG MISTAKE. This crap not only bleached my hair but into a bright yellow blonde that no one would like. Of course I tried toning it but ultimately the only way to even get it to a point to where I would actually leave the house was to color over it, which I did not want to do right away. Basically, if you’re looking for a quick, cheap way to bleach your hair, this is for you. Anything else, STAY AWAY! It also said you might need two packs if you had long or thick hair. So naturally, I only ordered one bc I have short, thin hair. I barely had enough. ... show more

  • It works
Size: 7.8 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Clearly it's not a perfect lift, but that's my fault. I should have used three packets instead of two to get it fully caked on there. I wanted a high lift, but didn't want to use 20 vol since my hair is so fine, so I used a 10 vol and it worked well. I also used some bond building stuff similar to olaplex to make sure my hair didn't melt off. I got this stuff since I heard it lifts green and blue well, and that it did. Just be careful if your hair is super processed, use water instead of developer, and add some dandruff shampoo into it to make a bleach bath as well as wetting your hair before putting it on. Just a friendly tip if you already have a double process. ... show more
