I am minimalist, which means I have to be a maximalist with closet and cupboard organization. I take my time to think about how to organize my things, so that I don't make mistakes and have to redo it. These tension rods are what I finally decided on, as something to drape my microfiber cleaning cloths under the bathroom sinks. And so far, presto, they resolve that problem instantly, so that the cloth has a place where it can dry out without being crumpled at the bottom of the bucket, or, draping over the edge where it gets in the way of other things. My next move is to get white scratchy pads (without any sponge material glued to it), and then drape them over the tension rods, too. The trouble with the scratchy pads is that they drain and drain and drain forever. I can addres that with a Command caddy inside the cupboard door, but, I think it's more efficient to just drape them on the tension pole. Let them drip into my cleaning bucket below, it's no big deal. It's not always intuitive to super engineer tight spaces for functionality, but, I do think these tension rods are a key part of making it all work, and so I recommend them for their usefulness.

They do what I wanted and for the price they really aren't bad. They hold strong with the tension and are exactly the size I was expecting. It is easy to tell that they are cheaply made. The spring seems pretty flimsy and I'm sure if the metal were pulled on or stepped on it would easily bend. Luckily I'm just using this to hang toddler clothing so if they break it, I'm not worried about it.

Well made product. I used these as extra hanger storage, between my washer and the wall. The space was about 8” and the rods fit well. I was concerned they would come loose with the vibrations from the washer but so far they haven’t moved. Glad to have a place to hang extra hangers in a convenient location.
