I was hesitant to buy this because it was so expensive. It has been wonderful. My wife took my son and some of his friends on a trip our first weekend with the rack. She was worried about taking bikes as she hasn't used a bike rack before. When she got back she kept saying how easy it was to put bikes on, lock them up, and take them off. This really made the purchase worth it. I can't say much here that you won't see in the youtube reviews. I can just echo that it is just as easy to put together and use as they say. Bought this after stalling too long on a 1up rack and finding myself needing something with a quicker ship time. So far I am extremely pleased with the package and highly recommend it if you can justify the cost/feature ratio. Good 1. Extremely easy to mount and remove bikes. 2. Can handle road, mountain and electric bikes 3. Absolutely rock solid and silent with no shaking 4. Integrated break lights are a nice safety feature 5. Lock is easy and much higher quality than other integrated locks Bad 1. There is a very ugly white stenciled logo on the rack that is not present in the promotional pictures or advertising. I'm hoping to figure out how to scrap this thing off. This one offends me since it is explicitly different than what is being shown in the product description and reviews. 2. My license plate is obscured when the rack is folded and there is no mounting option on the rack. Technically I'm not sure it's legal for me to even have this on my vehicle in its current configuration. 3. This thing is large and heavy and not a great choice if you want to just have it mounted a few day a week. 4. The tow harness that enables the great break/reverse light feature is awkward to plug in or remove and has a dangling cored that is hard to get placed right. This makes removal and replacement even worse than one would expect with a large rack. ... show more

This is a great rack with a ton of features and it very solid and well designed. Our issue with it was that my husbands bike has a 51.5” wheelbase. The rack advertises for 53” wheel base. We have to really really push to get just one click out of each arm and I have to admit I feel sooo unsafe with that being the case. The teeth on the locking mechanism are very fine and add to that a tone of pressure only on the very last tooth? How long until his bike goes bouncing down the road. In the day of the long wheelbase bike I wish they could have made this to accommodate longer bikes. The only other option is a 1up Equip D rack, but it is not at all the same quality as this rack. This rack makes 1up seem flimsy. I’m really torn about giving up on it or tempting fate. ... show more

I bought this rack to get my bikes out of the back of my car. Wow it this a great rack. Super clever design and easy to assemble and use. Quiet on the back of the car with absolutely no rattle anywhere. So glad I made this purchase. If only the keyholes had covers then this would last forever.

My wife is 5 foot 95lbs and with a 5 and 7 year old and their bikes it was getting to be a pain just cramming them into the back of a Ford Expedition Max. Getting the 14 year old Thule hitch rack with the screw in bolt extension even with a rattle reducer was a chore and the bikes still wobbled to much and had to be lifted high. This is the cat's meow for us to load and go. Even without the V2 Pivot it bend down adequately for the tail gait to open fully on our Expedition. We plan to bike for a lifetime with the kids as we visit National Parks and take our RV on adventures and this fits the ticket. It is rated to fit on the RV as well according the the stamp on the box. We are looking at this as investment in future family fun. ... show more
