This is a very excellent aquarium for a small fish. I use it for a change for my fish when the aquariums need to be changed. The only thing is is you might have to tape it down if you have cats because it seems like the lid is easy to come off. But very pretty the fish seemed to like the change of scenery for a few days when they’re a bigger aquariums need a cleaning and they are happy to get back into their big aquariums though which aren’t that much bigger there may be 5 gallons, but these fish are just fine for a few days in there and it’s pretty to look at the lighting is very pretty. I liked the product, it was the perfect size for my fish, good quality I purchased it for the size but mostly because it had a light, but it didn't work. I was very dissapointed.

Update;:: it gets worse. After using this for a few months. It is absolutely the worst fish tank you can get for your fish because the algae even if you clean it every two weeks it stains the plastic and you can’t get it all off so you can’t see your fish in the tank. I tried to contact Support before leaving a review, but was unable to. It’s a darling little beta fish tank, but the best feature of the lighting does not work. There’s a 0, 2 hour and 4 hour switch with many different colors, but it just never stays on for more than a minute or two if that and it just doesn’t matter what color you select of maybe six or more??? very sad because this little 1 gallon octagon fish tank would be amazing with the color feature. So they either need to knock this down to a three dollar tank instead of the $20 plus price that they’re selling it now because of the lightning feature not working.. ... show more

I highly recommend this amazing product for your beta or goldfish or any fish that does not require a filter. The light is amazingly bright. There's more than enough space for the fish and any decoration. hand washes nicely. I plan on getting several.

Perfect for my son's robo fish it held 2 sea turtles and 4 robo fish comfortably; if there were more than that, it would have been too small. I honestly don't remember if any items were included, but I do not remember seeing an LED lighting set. Opened Christmas day so you can imagine I probably overlooked something in his excitement. ... show more

This is a very pretty tank. Lights up beautiful but I rarely use the light. Arrived quickly. My only issue is that all sides, on the inside? Have gotten sort of a glossy look to them. I haven't used any scrubbing on it. Rinse it with water to clean out and never use soap or abrasives. I've tried to wipe it off using my finger? Nothing will remove it. It's on all 6 sides so you can't hide it either. It's been this way since 3 days after adding water. It's about a 3 inch circle on each side. Bottom is fine, top is fine, sides are fine.. just that circle area. It's weird. I have another small tank and it doesn't do this. Would love a replacement and Ill send this one back if possible. ... show more

    • Nice size bowl for small home
The 1-gallon bowl seems impossibly small, but fine for my single Betta. There is a larger version which I'm considering because my fish have gotten bigger since. The clear lightweight plastic bowl, lid and lighting system are excellent quality. I use rechargeable batteries. Was concerned about full enclosure and remedied that by drilling a quarter inch hole for air. It is recommended to allow air in for at least five minutes a day. I leave the lid off for several minutes and have never had a Betta jump out of the bowl, but I don't have the water way up to the brim or spook my fish with sudden movement. The lid and lighting system sits on top and is easy to lift off (gently). Multi-colored lights so you can imagine your fish in various fruit flavored jello. Betta is adjusting very well. Overall, pretty happy with this purchase. Note: LED lights last a long time, but not alkaline batteries. Rechargeable batteries are the way to go. ... show more

    • Great idea, HORRIBLE execution.
I loved the design of this for where I wanted a beta tank, so decided to try it, despite being a little smaller than I like. This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased. The lid didn't fit AT ALL and was poorly finished so it had jagged edges. The body of the tank is made from a thickness and quality of plastic that would be better suited to a squeezable ketchup bottle than a fish tank. Disgraceful quality. As much as I like the style, I sent this back almost immediately because of the poor quality. ... show more
