It's also large -- 11 inches gives plenty of room to fry with oil without worrying about spattering because it's also deeper than most frying pans. My whole life, I’ve never used a cast iron pan. I’ve heard great things about them, but just never really jumped into it. What better way to break it in than to cook up my first ever home grown vegetable. A zucchini cut up into medium pieces and sautéed in olive oil and a bit of butter and black truffle salt. I let them brown up for a good 10 minutes. Threw on two seasoned pork chops and let those go for 4/5 minutes each side until I hit 145. All of this was done on medium heat. I’m not one to photograph my food, but I was genuinely really happy with how the food turned out. Everything was a lot more even than usual and came out just how I like it. A little pan fry sear on the pork and slightly caramelized veggies. Pork was still moist and perfect on the inside. My next surprise came with the cleaning. I just hosed it down with tap water for 30 seconds. The picture of the clean pan is after doing that and giving it a wipe with a paper towel. I didn’t use soap or a sponge and it came out looking almost perfectly clean. Incredible. My whole life has been changed lol. Because of the coating I’m not sure how to treat this exactly. It’s not bare cast iron, but it also self cleans very well. The ceramic coating on the bottom makes it glide around the surface like a dream. It’s heavy, probably twice as heavy as a normal pan, but yet half as heavy as a full cast iron pan. A seriously nice pan.

THIS... Is the Kokhub cast iron non stick frying pan, and I got mine in sage green and before we get started the sage green actually looks really good and slight ombre darker to the bottom of the pan giving it a cool effect. Out of the box, this 11" titanium frying pan shows its heft, and is very obviously cast iron... and at 6 pounds, it means business! I have been cooking almost everything on this frying pan from eggs, to chicken and anything else I could find and it really just... doesn't stick! Everything I have made on this pan has easily wiped away with some soap in the sink, and unlike other cast iron pans, this one is still dishwasher safe should you need to. I found that this pan cooked really well too, and allowed really good control over the heat applied to my food. I found that the pan did cool quicker than other pans, but I enjoyed this feature so I could pull the pan and not worry about burning my food. That being said, the handle never transferred heat to my hand, and was a comfortable grip given how heavy this pan is. I haven't been able scratch this pan, and have found it has held up really well - not showing any signs of wear given that we have used and washed it so much. Overall, this is a fantastic pan to cook with, and has easily become our default pan given just how well it cooks and cleans - and at 11" it is the perfect size for almost everything.

This is a preliminary review as I've owned ceramic coated nonstick cookware in the past which has started out great only to become completely unusable after a few months of use. I'm hoping that the process used for this pan differs from those I've used in the past. This is an interesting pan. It is actually cast iron with a ceramic outer coating, similar to Le Creuset cookware. This means it's heavy and takes some time to heat up, but once it does it maintains consistent temperature evenly across the cooking surface. Despite the rough feeling surface, the nonstick qualities are very good, almost as good as teflon- hopefully this lasts. Due to the weight it's difficult to toss or flip food by way of flipping the pan, but that's not a deal breaker. My only qualm with this pan is the handle. It's all metal and bolted on. There's a high temp silicone washer between the handle and the body to attempt to isolate heat and a small detent to keep it from rotating- the whole interface could be better, but it's acceptable. The pan arrived with the handle somewhat loose and had to be tightened, and even after tightening there's a bit of play in terms of rotation of the handle. The biggest problem is that, since the whole handle is metal, it does get pretty warm. It hasn't gotten so hot that it's been unusable thus far, but I wish that they would have at least used a high temp plastic sleeve to insulate your hand from the heat. Ultimately this is a very good pan at a great price out of the box. If the ceramic coating on the cooking surface lasts, the handle issues can be overlooked and it'll be a great pan.
