  • Nice little instrument
Size: Tenor Banjolele
The banjolele is really cool. It does take awhile for the strings to stretch so as to stay in tune. The string setup was spot on. And after a couple of weeks it seems that the skin is sounding better too. If you are the type that likes to track your order (like me) you will be disappointed. But it will arrive by the stated date. There was no shipping damage. The packing was not what you would expect. It was a small box put in a large box, with no stuffing. It worked though. I am a happy customer once again. I have purchased 4 ukuleles and been happy with every one of them. ... show more

  • Really cool
Size: Full Size
This is my first banjo so I do not have anything to compare it to. That being said, I'm very impressed. It stays in tune just fine, is even nicer looking in person than the pictures, and it was nice that they included so much other stuff with it.

  • Amazing Value!
Size: Concert Banjolele Kit
I've played guitar and ukulele for about 57 years, and of course have been through quite a few instruments-- enough to know a good one when I hold it and play it. This Kmise concert-scale banjo uke was my first venture into the "banjolele" world. It is very well put together, plays accurately, feels great, and sounds very nice! (The only modification I made was to remove the back cover, loosely stuff a couple of plastic bags (such as you'd get when buying things at Walgreen's or Target) in there, and then replace the back cover, which served to nicely tone down the otherwise loud voice of the instrument. I just don't think you could ask for more in an instrument-- and at this price it's an absolutely insane value! Highly recommended! ... show more

  • bango
Size: Full Size
Great beginer bango that i got for my husband for xmas. he has been wanting to learn and he loves this bango. he said he was researching them and this is the one he wanted. I read all reviews on so many of them and really just went by best review . I wasnt sure if 5 string or more or less strings and had to do a lot of googling since i know nothing about bangos. This was the jackpot according to my husband. thank god lol he loves it so much i had to share a review about it. he says its sturdy and plays well. everything you need to start out was there. i did read another review that suggested better strings so i did buy better strings and stuck them in with the rest of the things that came with it. and i have to say since december he has gotten good. he watches a guy on you tube that does lessons and it finally sounds like hes actually playing an actual song lol and its only been a month! and he never picked up a bango in his life! ... show more

  • Super Fun
Size: Concert Banjolele Kit
A solid instrument. I'm new to playing Ukulele/Banjolele so I dont have much to compare it to, but the instrument feels sturdy, has a wonderful twang, and aside from my fingers hurting it's been really fun getting to practice on. One review said something about it feeling fragile I think but that really isn't the case, all of the wood feels solid and strong. Another negative review talked about it not holding its tuning, and again, I havn't experienced that myself. My one and only complaint is that the edges of the fret board are a bit rough. Sliding my hand up and down the neck while trying to keep a solid grip has resulted in a bit of skin being rubbed off my thumb but this is after multiple hour long practice sessions. All in all, if you're a beginner or curious about what a banjolele/banjo-uke/banjo ukulele sounds like and feels like, I'd feel fine recommending this instrument. For Beginners: 4 stars solely because of the fret board being jagged. If you're new youre going to be holding it tightly and practicing longer hours and its going to rub off some skin which isnt the best but theres no issues with durability, sound, or tuning. Value: 5 Stars. While its more expensive than most concert ukes, I think its a very competitive price for a more unique sound that is rarer than the standard ukulele. Giftable: If you know someone who wants to play banjo but doesn't have the space or patience to deal with a regular sized one or if you know a uke player who wants twang this would make a great gift. 4/5 ... show more

  • I really like it.
Size: Concert Banjolele Kit
I re-strung this with concert uke strings in CGDA SO I could use violin fingerings to pick out melodies. I found a chart of chords for tenor banjo (which is also strung CGDA) so now I can play chords and melody but with a banjo sound. I'm really enjoying it. Easier to finger than a tenor banjo for my 70-year-old hands. I have a soprano uke strung like a violin ( GDAE) which is easier to play than a mandolin. But I'm enjoying this little banjo because it had a Bluegrass sound, while a uke doesn't. It's pure fun. ... show more

  • Sounds good. Great deal
Size: Tenor Banjolele
I am very happy with this banjolele. It sounds great even with the included strings. I bought a new set of strings to replace them but only needed to change one out because I broke it. The included items make this a really good deal. The case is decent with some padding and a pocket for carrying picks and stuff. The tuner works fine and the strap attaches easily to the pin on one end and one of the braces on the pot. Also locating the bridge with the included ruler was a piece of cake. I will say the frets were rough on the outside of the neck. I saw this as a con on one of the online reviews. I thought it was sort of funny how Kmise dealt with that problem by including a little square of sand paper for you to smooth it out yourself! No big deal though, it didn't take much to smooth them out. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to others ... show more

  • The package is the value
Size: Concert Banjo Ukulele
If you’re like me and play another string instrument and are just curious about this new instrument it’s a decent entry level instrument but if you just want to buy things like a tuner strap cleaning supplies, pick’s, etc than this is cheaper than trying to buy those items individually so you could just think of the instrument as being an added free gift with purchase included with the other included items. ... show more
