The project was a hit, everyone loved the added touch. Update: I've changed my review from 4 stars to 5. The vendor reached out to me to see if my lights were received and if there were any issues. We have a 33x14 covered patio that we wanted to have the string light look so we chose these lights at Amazon's recommendation. Overall I am please with the lights after just having installed them, however I will be sure to do a follow up on long term. First impressions are easy, I value long term reviews to see what the product is really like. I set up hooks on the ceiling of the patio and hung the cord from there followed by installing the bulbs. The bulbs are not led, they are not the corn shaped bulbs and are actually much smaller. (just in case that matters to you). The light given off is a yellow with hints of orange, which is just fine for our use. Considering I have 100 bulbs I thought the light would be over powering but it looks rather nice. I may go back in the future if it turns out there is too much light and remove some bulbs. I like the look these bulbs give off, the light is just right and was pretty easy to hang up. First impressions are good! I am wondering how these will do long term with the weather, even though they are under a covered patio.

I am so glad I waited to give this review since I wasn’t really sure how the quality is on these lights . I have only had these for no more that 3 months and total hours used is 20 hours since they are only on our fence and we rarely used them. I even bought an additional 25ft because we didn’t really know how much we would need. The first box we bought had 2 broken bulbs but it was fine at the time because it came with a few spares. Last week I found that 6 bulbs went out after only using them for a short period of time and we had used all the spares to replace them. I decided to call their customer service and the I gave them the same information of what I had experienced with these lights and I’d have to say that they have the worst customer service I have ever encountered on Amazon. To anyone who is looking for string lights do not buy these because they are garbage! Do not waste your money! I should have just returned them after finding the 2 broken bulbs but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Big mistake!

I was nervous these would be cheap and flimsy because of the price- I'm glad to be wrong about that! The bulbs are glass, so I recommend hanging the lights before screwing in the bulbs, or screwing them in as you go. As it was, we ended up breaking 2 lights when we hung them, but thay was fine because it came with 4 extras. We have them on a timer, and they are in for about 3 hours every night. We've only had them for a week, but so far there haven't been any burned out bulbs (we went ahead and bought extra bulbs though because that kind of use all summer is bound to burn out some lights). We have no idea how they'll hold up to rain (I'll come back to update if it's anything less than 5 stars).

I will say, when I ordered these lights I was a little skeptical but thought I would try them. I was looking for something for my back patio that needed a little something. We sit outside a lot, grilling, roasting marshmallows, etc. I love these lights!! When I opened them, they were a little bigger than I thought they were going to be, but I put them up around my patio and they are perfect! If they were smaller it would not look right. We spent the summer of 2020 building a deck onto the back of our house. I spent the summer of 2021 trying to add touches to make it better. One of those touches was adding string lights into the space. I always loved the look when I'd see the loosely strung lights on patio spaces, whether on TV, Pinterest or in person. I did some general mental measurements prior to ordering to know how many lights I wanted and chose the 100' option. I had a 20'x20' area and I wanted a loose, criss-cross kind of hanging look to them. To install, I used screw-in "mug hooks" that I already had in my hardware drawer. These allowed me to loop the cords around each hook for security but also allow the cords to hang loose rather than taut. To eliminate the possibility of breaking bulbs, I installed the entirety of the cable before screwing in the bulbs. I did this on my own, which took a couple of hours of moving a ladder around my space and a lot of climbing up and down. A little time consuming but certainly not difficult. Once finished, I was in love with how the light transformed the space in both illumination and aesthetics. It gives off a lot of light, which I wanted, so the space can function like an actual room even when the sun goes down. If you're after a dim look, use less bulbs! The illumination given by this set makes my deck feel like a cozier space. Also, I chose weatherproof bulbs since they'll be hung outdoors year-round. However, they're under roof so won't be rained directly on. I did want something that would hold up to cold temps and gusty winds. This will be the first winter for them so I'll update if anything changes. As of now, I'd not hesitate to recommend. (If you found this review helpful, please give it a vote. Thanks so much!)
