    • Useless Cheap Plastic Cord.

This is my husband's review Cheap plastic cord. I'm a DYI, not a professional. This is fine for my use. If I were a professional I'd hate to depend on it for a living. I've never seen a cheap USB phone charging cord this poorly made. This is not the type of instrument I'd expected to come from Klein. My suggestion to Klein. Use a cheap Type C USB cord. That way the purchaser can easily replace the cord with one of the quality and the length that suits their needs. I was testing water temperature with it. The inline water heater was set a 130F. The water coming out of the faucet was 130F. The Klein clamp measured 121F. I used an infrared thermometer gun to check the faucet temperature. It agreed with the Klein. Lesson learned the temperature outside the pipe will always be less than the temperature inside the pipe. ... show more

    • Adapter sucks.

The clamp seems to work well but is very sensitive, you must be very careful, too careful in positioning to get accurate reading. The bannana k adapter is crap faulty readings all over the place, does not make secure connection to k pins, the k prong can move a whole 50 degrees while inserted, as you might imagine this drastically changes the incorrect reading. The k type adapter is somewhat consistently wrong so you might think your getting real readings if you dont have 1 or in my case 5 back ups laying around. For exsample you might read 1673F, 94F, 130F, 167F, 95F, 1432F, 94F, ect (wont hold), and the same assembly with a working adapter &/or a working different assembly will read 102F. As long as the clamp is making good contact it preformed the most accurately in my class among the uei, fluke and 3rd party clamps, my k adapter was the worst luckily a class mate found the adapter no brand on the web for $1.40 and they work great. ... show more
