I am beyond satisfied with the performance and power delivery of this specific Ingersoll Rand 1/2 drive pneumatic air tool. It is not too heavy or strenuous to the wrist or to your hand, great pistol like grip which makes it easy to hold firmly. I will admit though it is a bit loud, not as loud as the Thunder Gun but it is a bit noisy for some of my co-workers at work. I was going to opt for the 2235QTiMax but opted for this instead for the extra 50 foot lbs totaling out to 1350 foot lbs breakaway nut busting torque opposed to the quiet one being 1300 foot lbs breakaway nut busting torque. Then again I am bearing the noise for now for that extra power. Overall, great quality tool and power delivering 1/2 drive air impact. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good air impact tool at a very very reasonable price and that in the long run, it will definitely be worth the buy. Love it so powerful and yet so quite. I'm a technician and have been for 42 years. This will be my 2nd 1/2 inch Ingersoll Rand in 30 years love the brand they hold up very well.

I don't know why I kept this gun instead of returning it. I've had it since 2019 and have only used it a few times, and each time I use it I'm highly disappointed again. The gun is not very powerful. I thought this was due to the small compressor I have hooked up (big one in storage due to moving), but it bangs for a bit before compressor kicks on to bring the pressure back in acceptable range. This gun is no stronger than a harbor fright central pneumatic 1/2" impact we've had for 15+ years. They do the same job, but I was hoping for more. The ingersol rand can't even remove caliper bolts on a 2500hd that are torqued to 221 ft lbs. Had to get out the ol breaker bar and stand on it as to not wrench my back bent over in the fender well. The other part that sucks is the "hog ring" they use on the end of the gun to keep your socket from falling off. This made my sockets get stuck to the point of having to beat them off with pliers. Then the hog ring expanded and pretty much fell off. Total junk and waste of money. I wish I would have returned it for a refund when I had the chance. ... show more
