Genuinely an amazing color. I'm doing purple ghost roots at home on my own head, and I used Tintation Violet Black for my mids and ends. It came out exactly how I wanted! Dark, but not fully black. It's almost like a violet wine color. Beautiful in the sunlight, and indoors you can still somewhat see the color. I put it over my level 6 copper hair (previously I had red in it but it faded), and it covered it great. I only used half of the 5oz it comes with, and my hair is kind of between thin and thick. Slightly past my shoulders. *Edit: it faded a bit with two to three washes, granted I used shampoo, but it was sulfate and paraben free so I don't know why it faded so quickly. I usually do a shower without washing my hair, then next time a shower with shampoo, then alternate between those. A bit disappointed but I still give it 5 stars* ... show more

This product did NOT work at all. I bought 2, used one but didn't work at all. I thought maybe I didn't leave on long enough, so used the 2 bottle today and left on much longer, still didn't work. It was a waste of my money. Do not recommend

This product looked like it would work but, it didn't stick to clean previously bleached dry hair. It was also very very perfumed and messed with my asthma hardcore.

I was excited when I saw the brand’s color range at my neighborhood beauty shop and decided to give this a try. Unfortunately this did virtually nothing for me color-wise. Like, I saturated my hair thoroughly and set it for 40 minutes as recommended for more vibrant color and I still look exactly the same, even my lighter roots. I hope this was just a fluke but I don’t think I’d buy anything from this line again. There are a couple positives though: it’s cruelty free which earned big points, it has nice, nourishing ingredients and acted like a conditioning treatment. I might not have gotten the color I wanted but my hair does feel nice. It’s also super cheap as far as dye goes. I think I’ll just treat my hair with it weekly until the bottle runs out then go back to Manic Panic. ... show more
