Was looking to add new Suntoll lights, but couldn't find them, so these were the closest I found. Not as much peripheral lighting on the sides, but still very bright and work as specified. One I set to keep dim all night until motion detection turns to full brightness, and the other only to full brightness once motion is detected. Wish there were a center hole like the Suntoll, instead of two, because I didn't want to put two screws into the wood. Instead I put a wire through the two holes, and just hung them tightly from a broad roofing nail. Maybe less stable, but easier to remove and change settings if I want to. Good overall. ... show more

I recently bought a campervan and wanted some security lighting. RV forums were touting a security light with motion sensing that used batteries that was $79 each. I needed 3 lights so there had to be a less expensive solution. I bought two 2-packs of these solar lights (4 total) for much less than buying 3 of the $79 dollar lights. I also bought a 6-pack of neodymium magnets. I used 5- minute epoxy to glue 2 magnets to each of the 3 solar lights, then covered the magnets with duct tape to keep from scratching the RV's surface. Setting the lights to mode 3 (full bright when motion detected) I tested them in a dark room just to make sure the super strong magnets didn't interfere with the circuitry. All 3 lights instantly came on upon entering the room and the light was extremely bright. My intention is to pop these lights on the 3 sides of the van when camping to act as a theft deterrent. The magnets hold them securely to the van and are easy to remove when packing to leave. Best of all no batteries to buy. The LiPO battery in these lights is replaceable when they finally wear out so that is another plus. Overall I'm very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend them.     • Crazy good security lighting for cheap.

I'm extremely pleased and more than a little surprised by these little wonders. I've bought six or eight of the things as quickly as the seller would let me. You just screw the things in to whatever you need lit, make sure they spend a decent amount of the day in the sunshine, and you have installed good security lighting. They are very bright, and very sensitive--I haven't had anything smaller than a house cat set them off (that I know of) but the cat that inspects my house every night now has plenty of light, and I now right when he gets here. Good, motion detection lighting is one of the top two or three things you can do for home security--these do a great job at a tiny fraction of the usual cost. Highly recommended. ... show more

I used these set to low level to keep the side of the house with the pool equipment dimly lit all night and on motion detection they both go to full brightness which is more than enough to do any work on the pumps/equipment (cleaning filters, etc). The first picture is both lights dimly lit. iPhone cameras are so good that the dimly lit picture looks very bright - it really isn’t. The dim setting is perfect for what I wanted - enough light to see if anyone is there but not so bright that it lights up the whole back yard. In the second picture, one light is dim and the other bright. I first thought these were a little small vs what I had seen in the pictures, but they function very very well and their brightness is very good. I will probably order a few more for other areas of the yard. I love these lights. ... show more
