Really surprised that it has lasted so well. I applied about 4 weeks ago and it's still going strong!!! This is my first time using this brand and I am impressed!!! Picture upload upside down for whatever reason. I have tried to fix it and it just won't let me. You get the idea though! It looks almost as good as the first day! I washed every other day in tepid water, with head and shoulders, color care shampoo and conditioner. I left the color on for approximately 40 minutes before rinsing and washing. The purple is Punky Color and it's held up well also. But it bleeds more than this Kiss brand. If you're undecided, go for it!! Just remember HOT water will make it fade faster. I was hoping to get a nice deep dark red to cover my grays and look like highlights. This was not what I was expecting. Unfortunately the pictures are very difficult to differentiate. They all look pretty much the same. Scarlet, Crimson, Truly Red. The Scarlet turned out orange which was disappointing. One thing I can say is that it does cover the grays very well. And it seems to last forever. So far it's been about a month and a half and it hasn't faded. Also, be sure not to schedule anything involving other people for a few days after dyeing. I used this instead of a chemical toner. You need to mix it w a bowl of water and a tablespoon of color. It will grab onto hair very fast be cautious. Thank you for the great price and speedy delivery. I have been using this for 16 years and my hair is shiny because it contains no peroxide or ammonia to rough up the cuticle of the hair. I leave it on a little extra to cover thinning hair and a small bald spot. That gives me 4 or so days before I have to use hair makeup. I exercise care because it will dye most anything it spills on, so everything in the bathroom gets covered first. Half my hair is pure white, and the Dark Warm Brown is a nice dramatic color covers completely and that fades very little. The permanent hair color I use around the edges fades more quickly. I have learned to use gloves for the rinse and first few post coloring shampoos so the color won't stain under my nails. This product is marketed to Black women and I doubt they would have these challenges. Please keep offering Kiss Express Semi Permanent. I often get compliments on my shiny hair! ... show more

My first time putting color in my own hair. I had to research the procedure because the font on the bottle is too small for me even with my bifocals. I am over 55 years of age. The instructions were not detailed, and unreadable. That being said, according to my resources, do not wash hair for at least 72 hours. It’s been 96 hours. I have no idea if the color will be vibrant after washing. Additionally, I am an African American.
