The product came in a well-padded package with no damage to the lock. Installation was straightforward, and I very much appreciate that there are picture instructions and expanded, more specific instructions included for this. Once installed, I chose to set up the lock using the recommended app (which works out great as I had the "Smart Life" app for other smart home products I have already). The app had no problems at all connecting to the lock following the instructions provided. Adding profiles with passcodes and fingerprints was simple and worked right away. I love that there are also expiring passcode options that, once again, are available immediately after setting those up in the app. Of course, if all else fails, there are backup keys included with the lock. Another nice feature is the audio and visual feedback from the lock. In my pictures, I've included examples of the keypad lighting up and the red/green lights you will see if access is granted or denied. The voice will also tell you if a code is wrong, a fingerprint is unauthorized, or if the batteries are low. To test this out, I put in batteries I knew were already spent and the lock still worked (though understandably a bit more sluggish to move the deadbolt) and reminded me each time that the batteries were low and needed to be replaced. Also worth mentioning the batteries are easy to replace as the back panel both secures nicely and pops up and off nicely when needed. As for utilizing the smart lock, you don't have to be on your network or connected to the lock directly once it is added to your app, which makes this great for managing the lock on the go, say you forget if you locked your door or not and can check that right from the app, or you need to let a cleaner or babysitter in (or whoever else) but don't want to provide unlimited access to your home with a permanent code or key. Overall, I'm very impressed with the ease of installation, configuration/management, and the look of the lock. In my case, I am using the lock on my interior garage door, but the lock does have rubber seals on both sides of the lock and would probably do fine with some element exposure.

This is an outstanding product at a reasonable price. I looked at versions of these at Home Depot last year but didn't want to pay $200 - $300 just so I could unlock my door with my finger print. This unit has all of the functionality I could want at a very reasonable price. It took less than 15 minutes to remove my old deadbolt and install this one. It was a perfect drop in replacement and took 1 screw driver and 4 screws to install. Just as important, the app is well laid out, has a lot of great functionality, and makes it easy to set up and use the lock. Overall, I think this is a great smart deadbolt.

Wow! This is great. I don't know why I waited so long to get this. First, the install was simple and only took 15 minutes. The app that goes with it is also good and easy to load and operate. It is a simple concept but the execution is fantastic. I don't have to take my keys with me anymore when I go out for my daily walks. I just use the fingerprint scanner and walk in. The other great feature is the Auto-Lock. You know when you get in bed and think "did I lock the door?" Well you can set this lock to re-lock after you unlock it and come through the door. A minute later, it automatically locks itself. You can set temporary codes for visitors as well. The best part is that it always seems like I have a armfull of mail and other stuff when I come home in the evenings. No more fumbling for keys. Put your finger on the pad and walk in. I really am liking this thing. And it looks great too with the backlit keypad. Super convenient. Also if you are getting older like me, seeing the keyhole on the old deadbolt was becoming dificult in the dark. Well it solved that problem too!

The media could not be loaded. The AkaGear Keyless Entry Door Lock is a really great upgrade for my home. I was honestly impressed by how easy it was to install. The instructions were clear, and everything needed came in the box. It took me about 10 minutes to remove the old lock and install this one. Setting up user profiles is a breeze through the app. I can create different access levels for each family members and even guests, and easily add or remove people as needed. They can have their own codes and multiple fingerprints registered to them. I also like the multiple ways there are to unlock my door. Besides the standard keypad, I can use the app, a physical key (just in case!), or even my fingerprint! The fingerprint reader is super fast and accurate, making it so easy to just tap and unlock. Two other features worth mentioning was integrating with alexa and being able to have a auto lock feature after a configurable amoutn of minutes. All in all, the AkaGear Keyless Entry Door Lock is a great deal. It has a great combination of features, ease of use, and value for the money. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their home.

Pros: Quality is good. Finish is a nice match to my smart door. Works good. My wife prefers the buttons to a touch pad. Key , fingerprint and PIN along with phone app access is nice. Cons: Not an easy bolt in installation. Cutting needed to match jamb plate and depth. Door side hole size had to be filed larger to fit. (Kinda surprised and frustrated me.) Does not use same app as door handle. Kinda skeptical as to how well spare keys will be to have cut? The key blank is oddly short. Overall I think it is a win. Time will tell if battery life and durability are acceptable.

When I got it, I was happy with the quality. The lock itself has heavy weight and good quality. The installation instruction is very clear. It was super easy to install, and I was able to install it within 20 mins. The app is easy to use and I like how I can change passcodes, assign a passcode, create fingerprints through app. I love one-touch Bluetooth option. I can even lock or unlock by my phone. Another feature I like is the auto lock. You can custom assign it to auto lock in a certain amount of time. No worry anymore if the door is locked or not after I left the house.
