I love this vacuum! It has a larger collection canister than the other models and the beater bar is gentle on the low setting, so I can use it on linens. It easily opens to empty it and the batter last a good while. It lasted for about two years and then the plastic cracked where it connected to the wand. I still use it on linens, where can't use the other ones. The only thing I don't like is that the collection canister is mounted on the bottom, not the top, so it doesn't lay flat against the wall when mounted. I will be re-buying.

My six year old loves to use this vacuum, and that alone is worth the price of admission. But, in real life (since his love for cleaning will wane over time), I really like that the filter basket is metal and isn't going to deteriorate like a paper or light fabric one. The mount doesn't automatically charge the vacuum, which is a bit of a drag, but we'll get over it. It also hangs out pretty far, so we can't mount it in the place we had originally intended - but that isn't a deal breaker by any means. It's lightweight, but all of the heft is at the top of the handle. This makes it easy to control, but inconvenient set down somewhere because it tips over pretty easily. Dealbreaker? No way. It's great.

Update: Not even a full year and this thing has stopped working. The bottom piece is no longer "talking" to the top piece. Nothing blocking or jammed it just stopped working. If you disconnect that piece the rest of the unit works. What a waste of money. Even with a warranty they charge more than the original cost of the new vacuum to fix and they need the whole unit shipped back? That's bananas. We have a smallish 2 br apartment (780 sq ft) and this works great for us. One kid and one cat, this thing thing keeps up. Sucks up chip crumbs as good as it sucks up cat hair. Lol. I can use it for a few days on one charge. That might not be the same for everyone. It charges decently fast, usually within an hour. I chucked our broom into storage since this little machine does such a great job on tile/laminate and wood floors. The bedrooms have medium pile carpet, thankfully, this does a good job on them in high mode. Might not do as well on thick high pile carpets. It auto shuts off if something gets sucked in and stuck... Like a sock or stuffed mouse. I love this feature. Easy to clean and use. Very light weight. The recharge cord is pretty long so that is a huge plus. Where i mounted the base was not super close to an outlet so it's nice that the cord is extra long. I don't have stairs but i could see this being easy to use on stairs.

This is a really good product! It holds its charge for at least 45 minutes (on the lower setting). It is very easy to use. I love the fact that the stem bends in order to go under furniture. The canister is larger than some of the more expensive models so it does not have to be emptied as often. When it does need to be emptied, it is very easy to do so. The only issue that I occasionally have is that dog hair (of which there is a massive amount), occassionally gets clogged by the canister. When that happens, I use needle nose pliers to get it out. It is easy enough to clear. If I did not have a German Shephers that sheds A LOT, this might not be an issue. It would be nice if the attachment that come with it had some way to attach to the vacuum but it does not. I just need to keep track of where I last sat it down. If it were not for that one thing, I would give it five stars. Although I have a full-size vacuum cleaner that I use on the carpeted areas, this Kenmore is fine to pick up spills on carpet - I just don't think it would get the carpet as clean as a full-sized.

Really sweet little vacuum for a pretty good price. The filter and dust bin pieces come out super easily to get clean and the seals are great. Longer strings and hair will wrap around the metal cover for the filter but the blue partcomes out to get that off. The bottom roller also comes out easily to clean and cut strings as needed. The charge lasts a pretty long time (can cover a one bedroom apartment 3 times over before I have to charge it again). The bin does need to be emptied quite often but it gets so much dirt and pet hair out of the carpet it’s worth it. Overall great quality and worth the purchase. I think it works better than my previous Dyson cordless vacuum at a way more affordable price. Update - 2 years later: I’m still loving this little vacuum, I put it through the ringer moving from a small apartment to a 2,000 sqft house with dogs and cats leaving fur everywhere. I’ve run a dog boarding and doggy day care business out of my home for over a year now and the vacuum has been my little savior for all of the hair and messes. Mine is probably reaching more towards the end of its life from over use and the fact that my housemates decided to clean up spilt cat litter with it. (I avoid cat litter with this since I worry about the fine particles passing through the filter over time and cat litter clay dust can’t really be blown out of the motor.) I still love my vacuum and use it for floating fluff balls, tracked dirt, and crumbs. It’s still doing well for the most part and I will most certainly be keeping it for the smaller messes even though I will now have another larger vacuum too. This was totally worth the purchase price for me even if I’ve worked the thing to its golden era. For how easy it is to clean and the quality of the product. Still recommend 2 years later.

Excellent for the first 11 months. Powerful and quiet. Then the vacuum stops performing as expected. I live in smallish condo and have a long-haired and a short-haired cat. All of my rugs are chenille or flat woven. The vacuum was amazing in picking up all of the cat hair around my place. Then suddenly, one day, it stopped picking up hair. The motor works fine; I change filters pretty regularly; there are no blockages in the tube; even removed the roller brush and cleaned it several times in the course of the 11 months. It is possible that the fibers on the roller have worn out and simply no longer reach all the way down, but at the same time I do not vacuum concrete to cause this type of ware and tear.
