I bought this when it was on sale for $130. A real bargain. It was hot outside and 15-20 degrees hotter inside my apartment as there is only one window and it only opens a few inches at the bottom. Then I got this. Suddenly ice cold air. It has a dehumidifier and a timer. It even has the front vent slats "swing" which means the vertical slats move so the effect is much like an oscillating fan. It comes with a remote and everything just works. I dont see it on sale right now but it is still a nice little unit. And there is no way one could mount an A/C unit i in the window except a like portable one like this anyway. I may buy a longer vent hose for $20. Otherwise I think I got a great bargain and have zero regrets buying this unit.

The AC seems to blow cold air just fine but the exhaust hose falls out from the air outlet adapter. There is no connection mechanisms to plug in the hose tightly. You simply insert it and that is it. The hose comes in and out without a mechanism to keep the hose from falling out. We used a silk tape to hold the hose in place, but the exhaust warmth melted the adhesive and the hose fell out again. Also, there are small holes on the hose too. Pictures are attached. At any rate, with the hose falling out immediately after being inserted, we have cool air coming from the front and hot from the back of AC. The unit we got is useless. Another issue is that window sliders are not designed for standard apartment windows. We wasted more time trying to fix sliders and keep the hose in place for a brief moment than getting the apartment cooled. Not sure if we got a defective unit or there is a design flaw. Will be contacting amazon CS.

I was pretty nervous that the AC wouldn't work as planned. The price was very appealing but after some research I was convinced it wouldn't be enough. I was wrong. Although it may not be as fast at cooling my bedroom down as a standard window ac I was very impressed with how well it maintained cool temperature. I also have not had issues having to drain the ac. Instructions could be a bit more specific but it doesn't take a genius to put together either so you get what you pay for. Great purchase may buy a bigger version for the living room. If you're on the fence just go for it. Well worth the money.

I'm incredibly happy with this purchase. Shipping was fast and setup was a breeze. It cools my large bedroom just as well as my friend's $450 unit, and it's quiet enough that I can easily hear my TV. What amazed me most is the dehumidifier. I was worried about drainage, but after running it for a full day, there isn't a single drop in the drain. It has already lowered the humidity in my room from nearly 80% to a comfortable 55-60%. A fantastic two-in-one machine!

This product does not do what it says at all. Says it cools up to 350 ft. My room cannot be any bigger then 250 ft. It does not cool down my room at all. The hose is made very cheap and ripped trying to fix it does not stay in the back of the unit at all. Hose is very cheaply made it should not rip so easily!!! Like what!!! Unit itself is nice but if it doesn't do what it says how nice is it? My old AC I had for 8 years works way better then his new high tech one. I bought a new one for my room and this AC is useless! Doesn't cool dwn room at all. I would like a refund for horrible advertisement. 😕

Arrived two days ahead of schedule - just when I needed it! So far, it’s been a great value for the price. I bought it for $160. We’ve been having a heatwave in my area, so while the temperatures are mid-90s+ outside, this unit has been able to keep my space cooled down to 80. It’s normally hotter in my house than outside. I love the swing feature which distributes cool air like a powerful oscillating fan.

This is my first of these type of AC units. I’ve always used the window units. That said, I was excited to try this and had decided on this one because at the time, it had good reviews. I spent a ton of time comparison shopping only those units with good reviews. Which is why I wanted to make sure to review this. First, it’s easy enough to setup. Though I’ll say, the plastic piece for the window really has no mechanism to keep it in the window. That said, without using some type of screws or bracket, this will sit in the window as long as it is not touched, or there is no strong wind. I don’t like that. Bigger issue for me is cooling. I got the 8,000 BTU unit because our 6,000 units weren’t doing that great. Sadly, that 6,000 windows unit does much, much, much better in cooling the area—by 5-8 degrees on a consistent basis. Even with the $20 coupon, this just isn’t worth it. For this price I could’ve gotten another windows unit that is 6,000 and still better than this supposed 8,000 one. Massive disappointment to us in cooling our 20 x 10 space.

Works great. We have a 399 sq ft tiny home and it made a huge difference inside. The dehumidifier and AC both are very powerful. It might be a little noisy for some, but personally I like the sound. I do wish the window kit had an option for smaller windows, but I guess I could cut it to fit. Great value for the money, would definitely recommend.
