I bought this when it was on sale for $130. A real bargain. It was hot outside and 15-20 degrees hotter inside my apartment as there is only one window and it only opens a few inches at the bottom. Then I got this. Suddenly ice cold air. It has a dehumidifier and a timer. It even has the front vent slats "swing" which means the vertical slats move so the effect is much like an oscillating fan. It comes with a remote and everything just works. I dont see it on sale right now but it is still a nice little unit. And there is no way one could mount an A/C unit i in the window except a like portable one like this anyway. I may buy a longer vent hose for $20. Otherwise I think I got a great bargain and have zero regrets buying this unit.

It worked great, blowing cold air for three months last summer. Then it sat undisturbed over the winter until last week. One week into setting it up for this summer, the power button has quit responding. It does not turn on anymore. All troubleshooting methods have been tried. It simply quit working after a total of less than four months of operation.

(Updated review after several weeks of use) Downgraded from 5 to 4 stars for 2 reasons: 1. My energy bill went up about $60 from usual this time of year (using mini split AC), while the sticker on the side says $70/yr energy cost. I only had it on low mode and set the temp to 72°. 2. I’m seeing alot of rust (including little chunks) in the water coming out of the unit, even though I drained the tank immediately after it filled up every time. I fear that it will not last long. (Original review) Works great. We have a 399 sq ft tiny home and it made a huge difference inside. The dehumidifier and AC both are very powerful. It might be a little noisy for some, but personally I like the sound. I do wish the window kit had an option for smaller windows, but I guess I could cut it to fit. Great value for the money, would definitely recommend.

I am so happy with this purchase, the sound is a lot less than I expected running normally. There is very little drainage when it is running the air conditioner. The dehumidifier is a cool air and it pulls humidify out of the air really well and it does drain a lot. We put ours up a little higher so we can use the hose that comes with the air conditioner to collect the run off in a bucket. The internal reservoir is very small. I would buy this again without a doubt. We had it hooked up an running in a couple of minutes. The day it came was under a heat warning, we were able to keep the house from getting hotter and after a day we were able to maintain around 74 through our whole apartment (we have a small apartment)

I didn’t expect much from this low price AC. I got it for my bedroom because sometimes it’s not hot enough for our central ac but my room is above a road and traffic will wake me up if I leave my window open. It’s worked great in my bedroom for a week. Today during a Michigan heat wave my central AC stopped working right. I put this little guy out in the living room and it’s doing an awesome job with the whole 1200 square-foot apartment. The noice is average and it was well worth the money. I’m really happy with my purchase and it’s been a lifesaver today!!

2 days use updates: The drain is designed at the bottom, so to drain water, I have to put it on a table, and then the noise is even louder. I notice the drain problem is at the beginning. I didn't use the outlet drain pipe. I believe when it's full, it will remind me to empty it. But the water tank is pretty small, even after 2 days of usage, the water is full. And there is a big water leak. After I put it on my table, then connected the drain with a bottle, and it worked well again. Just the noise is louder. I will keep updating my usage experience. But I have to downgrade it to 3 stars due to the water drainage issue and the big noise. Old post: It works for my 200 sqft room, not difficult to install, and the noise level is lower than I thought. The noise is like you are running a fan with high speed mode, plus you have a refrigerator that is working. The sleep mode doesn't lower the noise, so it's not suitable for people who sleep lightly. But I think no portable AC is good for people who sleep lightly. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase. When I test it, the outside temp is 87F, and my room temp is 78F. It takes 15 minutes to reduce the temp to 77f, just letting you know.

I was pretty nervous that the AC wouldn't work as planned. The price was very appealing but after some research I was convinced it wouldn't be enough. I was wrong. Although it may not be as fast at cooling my bedroom down as a standard window ac I was very impressed with how well it maintained cool temperature. I also have not had issues having to drain the ac. Instructions could be a bit more specific but it doesn't take a genius to put together either so you get what you pay for. Great purchase may buy a bigger version for the living room. If you're on the fence just go for it. Well worth the money.
