  • This vacuum sucks (in the best way a vacuum can)
Color: Rose Gold
I have 5 cats, a dog, various foster pets, and multiple people with long hair all shedding in my house on top of the usual mess young kids can make, so I've tried all the big-name vacuums that promise to take care of my level of disaster. They all get tangled and stopped up right away and they've been impossible to keep going for long. And to top that off, none of them really had the suction power that they claimed to have. This one, however, is everything, and this listing for it is too humble. My biggest complaint is how great it sucks everything up, which is also one of the things I love most about it. Since I'm used to subpar vacuums, I'm also used to being able to vacuum while there are still random socks or pet toys or homework lying on the floor. DON'T DO THAT WITH THIS VACUUM. It not only cleaned several months of untouched nastiness in our rug, but it also took up playing cards, kids socks, hair clips, and paper towels with almost no issue. The sock stayed in the brush area, but the paper towel went almost all the way through to the bag. I thought I'd be unclogging the hose forever, but there's this switch on the handle that allows you to mess with the hose suction, and I was able to pop it out of the way with little to no issue. The sensors are excellent. One shows if the brush is being effective (which clued me into the sock's location) and the other shows the fullness of the bag (which clued me into the paper towel in the hose). This is the first vacuum I've had with a bag in it, and I'm so ok with it. It's light, durable, easy to assemble, quick to move and maneuver, and with the suction power, it's also exceptionally efficient and thorough. If my carpets can't slow it down, it should be able to handle anything. Buy this vacuum. It's beyond worth it. ... show more

  • Great Vacuum!
Color: Rose Gold
I just teied out my new vacuum! I really do like it . First of all the color is fun, it has great suction power, my carpet looks so much better already. Really did give the carpet strands a lift. This is my first swivel head vacuum also, it is a little narrow, and I wasn't sure I would like that, but it is perfect. Light weight, easy to maneuver around furniture and corners. The wand release is handy and easy to use. ( already tackled a few spider webs) I know I wiil also like that you can remove the canister to carry around and especially the stairs. ... show more

  • Great suction, not without some flaws
Color: Rose Gold
I've owned a few of these over the years. They have great suction, amazing maneuverability, light weight, and are versatile. I've used many vacuums over the years and I keep going back to Kenmore. From my experience these have better suction than Shark vacuums and the fact that you have a bag instead of a canister to empty makes them cleaner. I've used Dyson in the past as well and I prefer Kenmore. However, the neck breaks easily and the hose from the body to the head in the back of the machine splits easily. They are easy to clear when plugged and are great for homes with pets. Kenmore customer service tends to be hit or miss and replacement parts that are covered under warranty are on several months back order. They give you the option of cutting the cord and jumping through hoops to get a replacement vacuum, which I don't see the point of doing when the motor is still great and it's just cheap parts that have broken. It seems really wasteful to render a machine inoperable when it just needs a replacement part. It is a cheap vacuum and if gently handled it'll last longer and you'll just have to replace hoses. However, Kenmore also doesn't stock replacement parts for this vacuum. I'm giving a 4 because of the great suction which I would rate a 5, cord length, weight, maneuverability and bag capacity. However, because of these other factors I have to mark it lower. Customer service is a 3, and durability is also a 3. ... show more

  • Highly rated for me
Color: Red
This is probably the best vac I have ever owned. The suction is incredible . The ease of use in changing the bad is very nice as you do not have to handle it. Just press the button and it pops off rite into trash can. Boy it can hold a lot too. I have a e with three pets 4 people and a Woodstove. This machine works hard for me. I use it on bare floors in kitchen or carpet in living room . i I can detach it from base to vac walls around Woodstove. The cord is long enough that if I plug it into the right socket I can do three rooms . I use it every single day because of pet fur. I am very hard on vacuum and this one stands up to abuse very well . If you really want something clean use this one. You won’t be disappointed. I think the only draw back may be the hose part as I have noticed in past models of the same machine - may detach and you will here are and apon inspection have fount them to need reinforced. But no matter I would still buy only intuitions because they have excellent power. ... show more

  • Beast Mode Beauty!
Color: Red
This vacuum is the bee’s knees! Not only is she so pretty, she is a beast! Suction is off the charts good (almost too good because I can’t actually vacuum my washable rugs because the suction is so strong it sucks up the whole thing). However, I don’t have to mess with those ridiculous canisters that fill up in five minutes or clog up every two. Bags are back in style and I’m here for it. I’ve used this beauty at least once a week for the endless dog hair I have floating around and I’m still on the first bag that came with her. She also comes with extra bags (that I made sure you could purchase going forward), and I love that there is a light that indicates how full the bag is getting and when it needs to be changed. I also love the feature that allows you to detach the canister/body from the bottom so if you’re doing stairs or high corners you only need to carry around the canister/body not the whole thing. Lightweight enough for me to move around easily. My only complaint would be the tube, it stretches but it’s the plastic kind that is very stiff and often doesn’t stretch far enough or easily enough to be able to leave the canister on the floor and use the “wand” with both hands because the canister is almost too lightweight. Despite that, Overall, worth every cent coming from someone who hates vacuuming in general. I could not be happier. ... show more

  • Wow, some of the design decisions????
Color: Rose Gold
First, I find bagged vacuums much easier to use and worth the expense of bags, especially after-market ones. I hate constantly washing filters and the canister is just a big dust magnet on the outside. Then I have to go outside to empty them. Hate them! A bag I change once every 2-3 months and I'm done. I've never found any of them difficult to put on or off and I have arthritis. Pros: 1) Good suction through the bottom and the hose. It picks up cat litter easily, unlike the Bissell Cleanview I just tried. 2) Smaller swivel head to get between things. Even if I need to replace the $14 part every few years. Steers nicely! No more banged up woodwork! 3) Has bags! 4) Hose quality is good, overall quality feels very good. Everything snaps together nicely. 5) HEPA, I have allergies and the others leak so badly. 6) Longer cord, I can reach my entire house from one outlet! 7) Comes apart. 8) Easy to put together, just snap together, no screws. 9) No height adjustment, does it automatically? So far worked everywhere. Nice to not reach down to adjust. MEH: 1) Good assortment of tools with this model. Cost like $10 more, but these were the tools I wanted. I've had the rotating pet hair tools from Hoover, like 5, all stopped working after not too long. We'll see how this one works. Simple crevice tool, but has holes to cover to adjust suction level, it's too short though. Dusting brush bristles are too stiff and short for dusting, boo. The furniture tool is wider than most and I like the velvet hair remover part. It will also be needed to get underneath furniture, so floor and furniture use? Kinda yucky. Stored too low on machine. 2) Wish the metal extension tube came apart. Sometimes it's too long or too short for some jobs. 3) Since all vacuums now have the exhaust blowing out the front, this one does a decent job diffusing it and blowing it more up. Others, in tight spots like my bedroom, just blow the dirt and hair into my bed! Could still be better. 4) Only holds two of the four attachments. 5) Lower cord wind thing is too low. 6) Hard to lift to do dog beds or thresholds. I have to lift the whole vacuum up and head flops down. Can't just tilt up, handle doesn't lock into a mid position. I'd rather have a latch that I step on and get two handle positions. Cons: 1) It's surprisingly heavy to hold up, the motor is not on the head so you support its weight. Takes some getting used to and I'm not that old yet, but consider. I don't mind the exercise. 2) Why not exhaust out the back or diffuse more? 3) Forget about getting underneath furniture. The canister is huge and not flat! You have to use the attachments. Too bad they can't make a HEPA cloth bag over a bag... those were the best! 4) The clunky handle is taking getting used, too. I prefer a simple straight piece. The angle can be awkward sometimes. Quite heavy with the metal extension and, again, it would be nice if were two. Update: HATE IT! 5) WTH! (See photo) Why did you put the hook on the extension tube!?! It is really hard to get into small spaces but of the big plastic connections on the metal extension tube. (See photos.) That damn monstrosity of a handle!!!!! 6) Hose too short, I have to lift the vacuum to reached an 8' ceiling! Awkward and the handle and extension tube are heavy! There aren't that many bagged models to choose from. I've mostly used Hoovers, tried Bissell's and others. I'd love to design my own vacuum cleaner! Disliking it the more I use it. Originally gave it 3 stars. Not sure I'll keep it, but NO ONE MAKES ONE THAT IS DESIGNED DECENTLY. Contact me if you do, price is no object! ... show more

  • Just a great machine that wont let you down and bought another one
Color: Red
This is a great vacuum. When you get the box it speaks some assembly required, but it is easy and quick to snap together. You can look at it and instantly see how to put it together no tools. The power is great and almost every time it only takes one pass and the carpet is clean. The wand is long and easy to remove. Just stand up and use the wand to get behind furniture or do base boards. It is fairly quiet, about a 7 out of 10. The dogs are not afraid of the noise. The only draw back I have found, if you can call it that, is the vacuum is so strong it wants to suck up everything. ... show more

  • So far so good
Color: Red
I just used this vac for the first time tonight, so I can't comment on how long it will last. But it was easy to put together, and if I can do that, anyone can. It came with a bag already on it, and came with three extra. It's light, easy to use, and so far has good suction. I hate vacuum cleaners, it's the household job I dislike the most. So for a vacuum to seem pretty good is saying a lot for me. So far I'm pleased with it. If it doesn't last for some reason i will add to this review. My ten year old vacuum seems like a dinosaur compared to this one. One month later 1/25- I love it! Its nice and light and is so easy to push, and I like the way it turns around making it easier to get around furniture legs, etc. I also like the handle on the front so you can lift if up easily if it needs to be lifted over the corner of a scatter rug, or it you want to vacuum the stairs without bothering to put it down to use the hose with a brush attachment. My old Kenmore did not have a handle on the front and it was very hard to lift . This one has good suction, cleans nicely. Easy spot to reach with the on/off button. Easy to switch from bare floor to rug. I hate vacuuming, I have all my life. But so far i love this vac and I don't dread vacuuming as much . Very happy with this item so far, hope it continues to be good. 3/25- still loving this vac. i haven't even had to change the bag yet ( not that I vac that much). I rolled that old one out to the curb, it still worked, just heavy and bulky. Someone took it for free. That made the guy happy. 6/25 Still in love with this vacuum. One other thing that I just noticed, when I'm vacuuming, there are these little lights near the start button that light up telling you how fill the bag is. So far two lights have popped on, telling me the bag is half full. There is one more regular light, then a fourth one that says "time to change bag". I love it! - ... show more
