Easy to assemble by myself, beautiful to look at, easy to maneuver, light weight, really really really cleans the carpet, can clean my linoleum too on its lower setting so I don’t have to sweep as much, I’m sure if it works on linoleum it would be great on hardwood. It has a HEPPA bag system so I don’t have to get dust and dirt all over myself whenever I try to empty my canister. It EVEN AUTOSEALS THE BAG!!! The bag is paper whereas when I empty the canister of my old machine it is in a plastic garbage bag and I have to use two—the second one to sweep up and capture the dust that poofed out. I grew up with bagged vacuums and NEVER understood why you wouldn’t want all the dirt wrapped up for you! How is it more sanitary or earth friendly use plastic bags and you have to do it yourself instead of paper and being done for you? My old machine never had good suction, it was gross looking at the clear canister where dirt was, even cleaned out it was still dusty and gross looking. I have massive arachnophobia and used to use the vacuum attachments to get them if I saw them. With the clear one not being in a bag I would have to look at it in the canister if I did use it so I had to find other less ok ways to do it. I knew I needed a bagged vacuum and prayed they still made them. Not only DO they, but they are BEAUTIFUL colors, easy and have amazing suction, work on all flooring surfaces, and for an affordable price. Recommended to all my family who hate vacuuming and want something with attachments, otherwise we’d all get robot vacuums. This is my dream machine vacuum. 7-month update: I did have to clean the brush roll on the Rose vacuum once last week. It's the hair-shedding season and I delayed grooming the Goldens too long. But removing the hair was much easier with the channel that allows the scissors under the hair. Also, for those who complain that they are going through bags quickly when they first get this vacuum, understand that your old vacuum was not cleaning your house properly so this vacuum has to play catch up and you will use more bags in the beginning. It should level out once your house is properly cleaned. The bags hold a lot of debris and are full each time I replace them. Much more efficient than the canister vacuum I had which left half the bag empty. Full disclosure I am a multiple vacuum owner. I have a Miele upright(over 10 yrs.), a Kenmore canister(over 13 yrs.), and a Samsung Jet90 with the auto clean station for quick pickups. I don't like carrying vacuums up and down the stairs. This new vacuum is replacing the Kenmore canister. I have had the green BU4022 model for over a year. It works excellently being easy to maneuver and the lift-off feature is handy, but the brush roll fills with hair and is not easy to clean. I did clean it just before taking the picture. It has a green brush. I received the Rose BU4050 yesterday and the features are all the same except for the brush roll bar. This does not collect hair as the other one does. You can see in my picture the new vacuum has channels on the brush roll. If the performance changes with more use I will update my review. A few things you might want to know about both models: 1) You have to remove the power cord from the side to remove the canister from the base or to be able to use the attachments with the handle/hose. The cord hooks are near the top of the handle and at the bottom of the canister unit. This is a design flaw in my opinion. They could have put both hooks on the canister. 2) The brush roll stops in the upright position without pushing the button. 3) The vacuum is easy to maneuver, but it will not fit under a standard-height bed. 4) NO issues with the hose coming apart from the green vacuum that I have had for over a year. 5) The suction power on both is fantastic, they will lift my area rugs. You can adjust this with the vent door on the handle. 6) The attachments are standard in quality and functionality. There are two attachment holders on the back of the canister, but the attachments tend to fall off. 7) The hands-free bag disposal is fine, the bags are nice and help to keep the dirt sealed in the vacuum which keeps the air cleaner. 8) Someone asked about the air vents on the front. They are for the Hepa filter. Just pull out from the bottom to remove the cover. See photos. 9) You can also purchase an extension wand from Kenmore. The handle wand does not extend. It is 30 inches measured from the disconnection point at the handle. The handle is 8 inches from the grip to the wand connection point. So it gives you about 38 inches of reach without an extra extension piece. I gave this 5 stars because it does clean well, it's light weight and uses bags. With three dogs (two are Goldens), and a house bunny, my vacuums get a workout. If you have long-haired dogs or humans get the BU4050. Who cares about the color if your house gets clean and you don't have to constantly clean the brush roll? Both were purchased with my own money, my only bias is that I still like vacuums that use bags. ... show more

    • Gets the job done

I ordered this vacuum after our 15 year old bagless finally died. The vacuum repair place we'd used in the past advised against getting a bagless in the future because of how fast the motor gets full of dust and hair. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. The suction is really good. It picks up pet hair and kid dirt on both hard and soft surfaces. The suction is so good I learned by accident that the hose can suck in a glass marble 😬. It is small and lightweight enough that I can carry it up and down stairs easily, which is often a problem with vacuums as a petite woman. A few things to consider if you're thinking about this vacuum: The vacuum has a fairly narrow path so it doesn't cover a lot of ground at once. We only have one room with carpeting and two area rugs so we don't do a ton of vacuuming and it's fine, but I think if I had a fully carpeted house I'd prefer a vacuum with a wider roller. It isn't self propelled, or if it is the self propelled feature is terrible. It does take some effort to push this around. It's mitigated by how lightweight the vacuum is, but again if I had a ton of vacuuming to go it would be a bigger concern. There is no storage for the tools, not even a storage bag. They don't attach to the vacuum. It's annoying to have to drag them around in addition to the vacuum itself. Getting the hose back into the vacuum is fidgity and annoying. ... show more

I just had this delivered and used it right away. Assembly was super easy and it didn’t disappoint. My last vacuum died after only 1.5 years so I’m hoping this one proves more durable. It definitely has way more power than my old Shark, the cord is longer and it’s really smooth to maneuver. Not too heavy but still feels substantial. I vacuumed my steps which had been vacuumed about a week ago and the amount of dirt/dust/hair that came up was astounding. So far, so good! ... show more

This is a wonderful vacuum! It is easy to operate. This is wonderfully made to get into tight places with the swivel head! The only negative is the attachments that come with it won't stay on the assigned holders for them. It doesn't bother me really. I just tuck them in a drawer. Others had mentioned this in their review before I bought mine. So I knew this might be an issue for me as well. Wonderfully made and maneuverability is top notch. It having a bag instead of a cup to empty saves my allergies and asthma! Great product! ... show more
