It only takes 2 minutes to set up after erecting your main canopy. Used for a month on a cross country trip. Went from desert heat to glacier cold. Held up beautifully. Definitely recommend. Pretty easy to install, just leave your canopy on the lowest upright position to hang the top, then set the pegs in the ground, raise the canopy to proper height, install the support pole to hold the back wall out, attach all 3 guy lines and stake them out. Simple Being from the PNW, I did apply additional waterproofing in prep for bad weather, had no leaks, and when the window is slightly down, no condensation either. ... show more

After two camping trips in this tent it’s been great! Both camping trips had rain and while the material of the tent is not very thick, it is fairly water resistant and even traps air inside quite well. I read before purchasing that the top was not the best for letting water run off so easy fix I made was just using a similar color tarp as top cover and simply put two ping pong balls on the support stakes so they do not puncture the tarp. Now it’s extremely water proof from the top. The footprint on the tent is a few inches high and is good at keeping water out as well. The window is great, having a zipper on either side makes it easy to control air flow. I can easily fit a wise owl hammock and stand inside and allows ample floor space for bags. The tie downs for tent could be better as mine would not hold tension very well so those got upgraded for a better set with metal tensioners. All said, I love this tent and plan to use it on many more trips! ... show more

It said that it fits a queen size air mattress...it does if you don't want to zip up the tent. Also the one pole that is supposed to be used was broken 😕 never again will I buy from this company.

Heads up that I received this item through the Amazon Vine program. The first item i received had a damaged bag, so i reached out to the seller to see if they could replace just the bag. unfortunately that wasnt possible so i had to do a return but that happened smoothly. When i saw this item i was pretty excited about it, what a brilliant idea. I have a 10x10 canopy and i always take it camping with me so bringing the side tent is a neat solution that could save space overall. Im pleased to say that the bag appears to have some extra room in it, so that it will actually fit back into the bag when im done with it. the instructions are sewn into the bag, but i went ahead without them anyway. I can say that this works exactly how you would imagine. I had my canopy at the tallest setting and it fits well. There are possibilities for how to clip the tent to the inside of the canopy, I went with attaching them to the adjacent sides (see picture) to get things pulled a bit tighter and keeping the height. Where I found some problems were: 1) The included poles seem to be a shade too long. If you install them vertically, the back edge of the tent is nice and high, but that creates a flat spot on the roof of the tent (which cant be good when the rain comes). I found that i could keep the gradient on the roof if i installed the bars at and angle (see picture). The seller picture must be blowing a fan into the tent, it doesnt puff up like that. 2) the tent would benefit from having more points to attach pegs, in particular under the door (either side would be ideal), but weirdly there are no peg loops on the door side except in the corners. 3) The sleeping quarters could be larger, I say this becasue you HAVE to install the guy lines beyond the footprint of the tent to make it stand up with the poles. So, the tent COULD be larger, it could actually just be a triangle that reaches from the top of the canopy to the floor without poles and without guy ropes and that would give you more floor space and do away with the flat-roof issues. but it isnt that. I score it as 3.5 stars, rounded to 4. the concept is fabulous, the quality of the tent is good, but i think it has missed a few little details in design. UPDATE: I dropped it down to 3 stars because i left this up in some 'light' rain (i mean light rain too). I thought it would be interesting to see what happened, and unfortunately it is a bit disappointing. Water was pooled on the flat roof, and water was inside the tent. It appears to have come in through the window on the back or through the roof itself. The result is that this is relegated to a fair-weather-only tent which reduces its usefulness. ... show more

Bought this for camping on National Forest Land where we did not have access to toilets. Was our privacy shelter for the porta-potty we brought with us. Everyone joked about it at first, but ended up thanking me for bringing it. My only complaint was I with there was one more Velcro tab in the middle of the window at the top. When it rained on us, it dropped down so you could see in a tad. Something I can fix myself. Buying another one as a gift! ... show more

I wasn't too sure of what use I'd be able to get out of this, but truly it's already become a car camping staple for us. Car camping with a dog and a baby, we loved being able to zip up the kid in here and out of our sleeping tent to play while we were cooking over the dangerous fire. We also liked being able to use this as a place to store the half-eaten food that my toddler wanted to snack on later and to keep it bug-free (we did not leave any food in this tent overnight or when we weren't at the campsite though bc of bears!). We haven't slept in it, but it seems like it would be fine for sleeping in as well. Really liked it for our purpose though! ... show more
