Agreeing w most of what was said in another review: It’s big and seems well made - the front porch portion has to really be staked out correctly THIS IS NOT A GOOD TENT FOR COLD WEATHER. The roof is open even with the top cover over it - the gap between the cover and all screen roof is large so heat doesn’t stay trapped in. We really suffered in 40 degree weather in a really high end winter sleeping bag. Setup is probably the best part. I could put this thing up alone in 5 minutes… but taking it down to store can be tricky - I imagine we’ll learn and remember how the best way to do this is after more uses. ... show more

I finally had a chance to use the tent.... My family helped set it up for my camping trip... they're in a travel trailer and i joinedthem for hunting... Ten minutes later, it started to rain... I should mention that I bought a 19x23 tarp for the base. It rained, it poured, cloud burst, lightning, six hours straight. Not one leak. Stepping on the downhill side, there was a puddle that formed between the tarp and the flooring of the tent, but didn't penetrait... after a few more showers, and no leaks, I knew I bought the correct tent. Condensation was the only water I noticed. I love how roomy it is, and I'm usually a solo camper. As a retiree, I enjoyed the ease of set up, and tear down... I didn't need help setting it up, but having my family help on the first try was deeply appreciated. ... show more

I love this tent. I’ve used it a couple times now. The first time was at a music festival where we arrived at 1 am, in the pitch black. I kid you not, it took me and 2 girls 5 minutes to set this baby up! I was able to put it up by myself in 20 minutes. There are many windows for ventilation in the ceiling and sides. They are not joking when they say it can fit multiple air mattresses no problem. I’ve been lucky enough to avoid any severe rainstorms so I can’t comment on how water resistant it is or not. The only issue I had was with the placement of the zippers on the door. It was often hard to find them and close them. ... show more

Tent is huge, fits everyone and it’s a super easy set up. 1 person can pop it up but if you’re short like me you might need a second person to help put the canopy on top. I docked it one star because the pin in one of the legs (where the leg folds in on itself) popped out during set up and one whole side of the tent collapsed. We were able to temporarily get the pin back in but I am not sure if it will pop out again or pop out when it comes time to fold it back up or pop it back up.     • This tent is perfect in every way!
This tent arrived before the estimated date and got here in time for a Royal Ranger camping trip. A practice set-up took about 10 minutes, but the helpers were children learning as they went. A heavy rain fell that first night and thunder rolled in along with wind. Not a drop of water got inside, no leaks anywhere! It is a fantastic, strong, roomy tent. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys tent camping. ... show more

    • Caught in a storm!
I ABSOLUTELY love my tent!! My friends and I love outdoor BBQ's and taking daycations. This Memorial Day we got caught in a torrential rain storm in the back yard and this tent held up it's end of the deal!! Although the awning puddled with rain and we had to keep dumping it off, the inside stayed dry and kept its shape even without being completely anchored in the ground! This tent can hold 3 full to queen sized air mattresses and when not being used for sleep, we can comfortably put 6-8 lawn chairs, a fold out lawn table as well as a 2 coolers. I have a couple of friends who are not the avg weight or height and they too were very comfortable sittingnand standing!! What a great buy! We are purchasing another one and planning to accessorize with cool mist fans, solar spot lights, a small generator, tiki lights and light strings! Bring it on Summer! ... show more

    • Integrated tent poles are weak and break easily.
I purchased this tent as a replacement to my 18 yr old Coleman Weathermaster tent. Our family has grown and we needed the extra room. I spent a lot of time considering simply purchasing the 10 person version of the Coleman but this Ozark Trail had the third small room which seemed like a nice fit for my two older kids. When I received the tent I set it up in our backyard to make sure everything worked and that I could set it up without any trouble. After decades of camping I know that Murphy's Law prevails. The tent went up okay and folded back into the bag okay but I was a little concerned that the integrated poles would become a weak link down the road as the hollow poles are made with very thin metal, and they have plastic joints. A week later we took the tent out on our first trip since having our one year old son. Upon arrival I started to set up the tent. Following the instructions I laid the tent out and unfolded the integrated poles etc. As we raised the tent one of the poles was slightly out of alignment and started to bend under the weight of the tent. We laid the tent back down and found a tear starting in the metal where the thin outer of the pole met the plastic joint. As I carefully put it back into alignment it broke completely, rendering the tent useless. My wife made the four hour trip to retrieve our old Weathermaster, and I kept the kids busy in our campsite. If you plan on camping more than once, I recommend a better brand with better quality components. ... show more

    • Big and easy
This is a fantastic tent! The directions on the tent bag lack a bit of detail on how to set up, at least for me. Watch one of their videos and set up will be a breeze. The first time I set it up with my "helpers" (6 year old daughter and 70 year old mother). I got it fully up in less than 5 minutes. It took maybe 7 minutes to get it down and repacked. Speaking of which, I love that the bag has the expandable zipper to give you more room to get the tent packed back inside. It is hard to get all the air out, and with the poles attached I didn't want to put a lot of pressure on it to force all the air out. Those extra couple of inches the bag gives you made the all the difference in getting the tent to fit back in all nice and tidy . I'll be taking it for a two week, eight campground workout in June and will update how it works in real life. But based on the trial run in the from yard, I'm in love with it's size and ease of use. We are back from our two week, whirlwind camping tour and I'm in love with this tent! So easy to set up and break down when we just had an overnight stop, but big and roomy when we had an extended stay. The tent held up amazing in high wind, which I was honestly surprised about.
