Wow this is definitely heavy duty suty. It is not lightweight and I did have to remove one part of the handle as it was a bit too heavy for me to use. Shovel area is strong and I had no worries that it would break or bend. I really like that the sides are same as the bottom so nothing falls through though this is better for sand than other mediums as the holes are a bit smaller than the other shovel I have. We use fine wood shavings we get from local woodworking shop. They are very small pieces but it took a bit more to sift in this shovel but teeth on shovel head was great for shifting and picking up each shovel full. We so use a deep litter method and I only sift through in one of our 5 coops. I managed to do a very good job with this shovel compared to the other I have. This one seems to be well made and less likely to rust. It has stayed rust free so far and basket coating has endured all I've used it for without damage. Very well made and look forward to using it for years to come.

This is perfect, just what I needed for cleaning the chicken coop. When using sand on the floor of your chicken coop, this makes quick work of cleaning as the poo stays in the rake and the sand filters through which eliminates need to constantly replace the sand. It is well made and longer than I expected. I actually didn't even need all of the extension rods. The handle halfway down really helps you not strain your back and makes lifting easier. Worth the cost, quality materials and will last a very long time.

Solid construction with extra pole length options and a handle to help with the larger jobs. This rake/scoop/shovel is screw together fashion with a handle that secures awkwardly. That made using the scoop difficult at first. The poles kept unscrewing from the scoop and the handle kept turning when I used it to lift and toss waste into the wheelbarrow. The first job I decided would be to pick up goat waste in the barn. The small size of holes in the scoop makes it perfect to pick up goat or chicken waste without picking up soil from the ground. The idea worked, I ended up with a lot less soil in my wheelbarrow just the waste that needed to be removed. The job was a bit frustrating as the bottom pole that attaches to the scoop kept twisting off. Then the nice handle addition kept twisting around so at times it was facing backwards and was useless to me until I could get it to turn back around. I didn't give up because I don't like having to shovel waste and soil from the barn floor. I prefer to get mainly waste if possible and this scoop does that better than other options I have tried. After this first job was complete I inadvertently wedged the end of the scoop into a "crack" where cement slab meets a small cement ramp into our shop. When that happened I was able to twist the pole tight where it connects to the scoop and the loose issue went away. To fix the handle twisting issue I tightened the screw extra tight. This will be a great scoop to use in the chicken coops to rake up the straw and waste from the floors, especially in the winter when we add the extra straw for warmth. I will also continue to use it for the goat barn since it did a great job there.

The Keleky 2-ikn-1 Heavy Duty Chicken Coop Rake and Scooper does what it states and does it well: helps clean the bottom of your chicken coop. Can it be used for other uses (like the pictures show using as a kitty litter scoop)? Yes, but it is heavy duty and perfect for the main focus of coop cleaning. The likes: • It’s built tough like it states (heavy duty). The stainless steel handle is thick in diameter and feels sturdy and heavy. • The ability to adjust the handle to four lengths is excellent for various tasks and various sizes of the user using it. • The included plastic grip handle (looks like a weed-wacker handle) can be attached anywhere along any of the tube handle for that extra ease of grip and scooping. • The shovel/rake portion is built sturdy and gets the job done and can be used to sift through not only the base of a chicken coop but sand (ie. a playground sand area) to sift for cat poop and other stuff. The not so great: • The one complaint is that the scoop head is relatively small in width compared to how strong and sturdy the stainless-steel pipe handle is. At 9 -1/2” wide, the basket looks so small compared to the entire built handle length. It would be nice to have a 12 inch or 18 inch wide basket. If you keep the handle length to one or two lengths (25 inch or 41 inch), it matches the width of the basket so that’s why I didn’t take any stars off.

Okay, so honestly, I don't have chickens, but I have a dog with a ball pit. When she dives into and out of it, a good portion of the 300 balls go flying. While these are mostly contained to the porch, my back would complain every time I tried to gather them. Initially, I used a small bird net, but that also grabbed any cobwebs of leaf debris. This coop scoop works great! I can capture several balls at a time and just drop them back into the pool without bending. I didn't need to use all of the pieces of the pole since the area I am working in isn't that large. The scoop is sturdy and welded nicely. It is painted so that it will withstand weather. The scoop went together easily. It would have been nice if the scoop angle was adjustable, but I wasn't expecting that. The 15" wide scoop is large enough to hold a lot of ... poo, if you are using it for its intended use. The mesh is large enough to let most clean litter fall back through.
