The media could not be loaded. Finally a product on Amazon that matches the pictures and description! We purchased this to use in an RV and it's perfect. It does not need additional padding underneath to sleep comfortably. We have ours folded lengthwise and it has maintained the shape and has not creased or formed gaps. I've bought several mattresses from Amazon and this is by far the best one! I'm buying another one now to replace the mattress on my regular bed. No odor, extremely plush, material feels like soft crushed velvet - no plastic-y feel or hardness, the color is accurate, and the price is amazing at $169 for the full size. I like this best as a flat mattress. When it's flat, it's so soft and comfortable, I just don't want to get up. It's substantial and is way better than an air mattress if you ignore the bulk. This is very heavy! I and members of my family are plus-sized, so I steer away from air mattresses. With this futon mattress, we feel free to plop and roll to our hearts' content. The velvet cover is so soft, but I put mine in a mattress cover and under a sheet because it's not removable for washing, so I'm going to do my best to protect the fabric. I don't like it as much on our futon frame when it's sitting up in the couch position. It wants to fluff up in the middle, at the fold, and it's thicker and higher than I was used to with my old futon mattress, reducing the amount of space between your back and the couch back. It's also not as comfortable for sitting on at the edge of the futon frame as my older firm mattress was. If I were to rate it just for couch use, I'd probably go with four stars, but it's so comfy as a flat mattress that I had to go with five.

This mattress surprised me on how comfy it was when I was expecting something I wouldn't want to be on for more than an hour or so. I found myself falling asleep alongside my cats on this for hours on end! I will say the weight and footprint is quite excessive for smaller spaces so be prepared to find a good place to set it or use as an actual couch/bed hybrid. The other actual issue is the buttons immediately started coming off so be prepared to sew them back on or dispose of them entirely. Overall I'd say this is an incredible pick from a comfort standpoint and if it fits your needs then you should get this! Hope the insight helps, Cheers :^)

We needed to have an extra mattress around for when the grandkids spend the night and this futon mattress has been a huge hit. The kids declared immediately that it was incredibly comfortable and how much they love it. I'm sure it would work great as a futon as well however we use it as a portable mattress. It's easy to tuck away in a closet when not in use but it does provide substantial support and plenty of comfort for both kids and adults.
