Let me start by saying I wasn’t trying to lie about my age. I was just trying to gently mislead. You know, erase a few snowflakes from the ol' scalp, not rewrite history. The Just For Men Easy Comb-In Color is the Batman of hair dye—shows up quietly, handles business, and disappears before anyone knows what happened. No mixing, no science experiments, no plastic gloves that make you question your life choices. Just a tube, a comb, and ten minutes of looking like you're about to perform a risky heist on your own forehead. The application: So easy a distracted raccoon could do it. I just squeezed the tube, combed it through my "salt and pepper" situation, waited the length of one awkward YouTube ad, and BAM—darkest brown glory. I’ve been using this product for a few years, but the past couple times the “darkest brown” shade has turned my hair purple instead. I followed the directions exactly both times, and the color still looked nothing like what’s shown on the box. Now I have to fix it with another dye.

That’s all you really need to know. Put a little conditioner on your forehead and ears if you are worried about staining. I’ve never had an issue. My only tip would be to start one shade lighter than you might think you need, then go up to the darkest brown if you need more coverage. I use darkest brown on my 50/50 gray/brown hair.     • Horrible decline in applicator quality - sprays a mess in the bathroom

I previously used this product for years satisfactorily, but there seems to have been recent formula changes that made this product apply horribly, and now I am downgrading it to a "1" star and will no longer be purchasing. The formula/applicator now results in a fine spray/dizzle while being applied, which sprays droplets all over the bathroom tiles, floor and counters that are difficult to remove. This has happended in the last coupole of 3-packs, and has worsened. Nothing has changed in the manner of application, its entirely the product. Additional, one brand new tube top was dried up, and would not apply until we poked a hole through the neck - further pointing to quality decline. I also feel the color is no longer holding as well, but that is tougher to quantify. Manfacturer looking to shave a few pennies in production costs has lost my business - will be switching to another brand. ... show more
