Okay, I did not use it for chicks! I used it for a few gingers and pineapple plants that I wanted to overwinter without taking up too much room in my dining room (Pineapple leaves have sharp tips!). This little heater kept the temperature 10-15 degrees F higher than the overnight temps in our little greenhouse. It hung from the metal standards of the greenhouse and we set up a temperature sensor to monitor the situation. It worked very well, but we had to check mid morning for overheating the greenhouse with sun shining through it. It was easy to turn off. We did check plant water requirements so they did not dry out too much. I think it would be first-rate for chickens and other fowl as well. The clip in lights are a little finicky to insert, but work very well once installed. We've used bottles of very warm water to moderate the temperatures of the greenhouse in the past. This little heater was a welcome aid.

I use this to keep my ducks warm on cold winter nights. Love that it has different levels of heat that you can place it at, and back up bulbs. It's seems to be well made and haven't had any issues with it at all. I put it on a timer so its not on when the ducks aren't in their house. I've been happy with this heater and would buy it again. I shopped around and found this one on sale a year ago and got a good deal on it when compared to others that were similar.

I bought the JUSONEY Chicken Coop Heater for Chicks to dry the soundboard in my baby grand piano. I am only using one of them in (the package comes with two) because I'm awaiting the arrival of another extension cord. The cables are long enough, and the switch (On/Off and Low/High) is very convenient. So far, the lamp that's on is providing good warmth and I know that when the other extension cord arrives, the soundboard be dry enough to work on in a couple of weeks. The infrared light from the heat lamps generates gentle heat that is not likely to cause problems. Mine are about 2 feet from the surface and there's nothing to worry about. I believe that these lights will make little chickens and roosters very happy. These are sturdy, well designed and a very good value. I think that these will last for the rest of my life. Thanks for making and providing a very good product.

Absolutely impressed with the two functions of this heat lamp. I thouroughly enjoyed the hanging chain, made putting it together a breeze. It lasted well with my chicks jumping and pecking at it. It fit perfectly in my atock tank brooder, perfect size and everything. I would be comfortable using this lamp againg ans purchasing another if we decide to hatch more chicks.
