  • Incubates well
I like the easy instructions..the egg candler needs to be revaluated..not useful..doesnt suit its purpose. But overall it's a good item..thanks

  • Junk
I bought this incubator. I set it up, following directions. It seemed fine. I put in the 12 chicken eggs. Suddenly I couldn't get the temperature button to work, the temp stayed right at 88.8. It said C, but that couldn't be right. I could never find the F. On day 3, I put a thermometer in the incubator. It read 110. I tried adjusting the temp, nothing happened. I let it go one more night. Same temp. I figured by now the eggs were dead, no sig of anything when candled. I called an incubator experienced friend to help see if he could get it working. He followed directions, but couldn't get the incubator temp gauge to read anything but 88.8. I let the incubator run, got the temp at 100. I set another dozen eggs in, just in case. By night, the temp was 112. I left it running overnight. When I got up the next morning, it was cold. The fan was working, the heater was not. Total waste of money. It's going to the dump. I won't buy anything from this company ever again. The electronic controls did not work. 2 dozen eggs ruined. 1 week wasted. ... show more

  • Works great
Works good. I have hatched good many babies in this machine I would definitely read the instructions and do as it says if you add too much water, it will pour out good machine for the money.

  • Okay with tweaks
Firstly, do not rely on the temp/humidity readings. Add another gauge as this was 2 degrees off consistently. I recommend keeping it inside the Styrofoam, mine couldn't keep heat or humidity consistently without it. The egg turner will fall off of its "peg", by the end I was just hand turning until lockdown. As with most incubators, add shelving liner as this is too slick for chicks. My only true warning though is to watch the water level. If you add all of your water for humidity in a single well, it will be deep enough for a chick to reach through the spaces and drown [speaking from experience]. Not bad for a cheaper model. ... show more

  • Update!
Update! We hatched some baby chicks! so I guess it works! We still have some time before the eggs hatch, but I purchased this because I thought it rotated the eggs. It doesn't. It will gently move side to side, but does not rotate the egg completely. So far the yokes look like they are settled on the bottom. I will write another review if we hatch some eggs. The water leaks out of the holes on the bottom, so I don't see how you should add water for humidity. It hums pretty quietly and doesn't take up too much space. I am hoping we do hatch some eggs, but it doesn't look like that will happen. Fingers crossed. I'm a bit disappointed though. ... show more

  • Decent incubator
This is pretty good incubator. But it's not without flaws, it's TINY, the turner isn't good at all!! My first batch 2 out of 12 hatched used the turner. For the second, round I took out the auto turner and put Xs on one side turned 1x in the am 1X in the pm, 8 out of 22 hatched, I noticed there was a complete cold side on the right of the incubator. For my thrid hatch I put 15 eggs in and 10 of 15 hatched which isn't to bad. I'm on my fourth hatch now, 15 in. But it's definitely not one for you if your not gonna be able to take the time and learn it and adjust to it. I'm looking into getting a better one. But I'm definitely still going to use this. There was definitely a learning curve but I didn't expect gold for $75. ... show more

  • Super impressed
**Update** All 5 eggs hatched! We did 5 eggs for our first run, to avoid wasting eggs in case something went wrong, especially after reading some of these super negative reviews. We currently have 3 hatched and a 4th has pipped. We are so excited to hatch a full incubator next time. This product is so easy to use if you read the instructions, have the settings adjusted properly, and check on your eggs regularly, adding more water as necessary. I do recommend keeping the Styrofoam as others have suggested to help insulate the incubator. We did place our own hygrometer, but have had zero issues with the incubator holding appropriate heat or humidity levels. ... show more
