I've gone through many different brands and styles of paddles. Started with the typical cheapy ones from amazon and walmart and then tried the engage, selkirk, crbn and other joola styles. Always end up coming back to joola due to its playing consistency. And now the pro 4 is even better. My drives that ordinarily hit the net, are now going over and my shots are now landing where I intended to land them. I've been trying a lot of paddles, mostly from Selkirk from the Luxe to the 007. I've also got the CRBN True Foam. I liked all of them. As long time tennis player and fan of Agassie, I was interested in trying this paddle. While I liked the other paddles, I absolutely love this one. For me it's the perfect former tennis player paddle. It's got the Joola pop that they are known for when you want it, but by far the biggest thing it adds to my game is control on drops, dinks and resets. I can't really explain how this paddle improves my game there, but it does. Huge fan. Happy to have finally find my paddle. ... show more

    • Nice Kit From A Great Paddle Brand

The paddle is of high quality with a great finish on the face and a very nicely applied edge guard. The grip is very...er... grippy, and looks nice in a clean white leather. The kit comes in a presentation box so that it would make an impressive gift to a loved one, and within the box there is a roll of edge guard tape (three tapes, I think). I added one to the paddle before playing for the first time. The kit also comes with a replacement leather grip of the same quality as is on the paddle. A few stickers and registration card completes the kit. Regarding play...well, it is a very good paddle -- responsive with a nice pop. Probably good enough for high level players and good enough for tournament play for sure. However, this particular one is the 14 mm thick paddle, and it is noticeably lighter. As an oldster with less quick reflexes I fear I am missing out on some power by going lighter. I formerly used a heavier 16 mm paddle, so I am considering adding just a couple of weights along the sides to return a bit more power around the presumed sweet spot in order to stretch it out, maybe get the best of both worlds, we shall see. I like this paddle and will likely be using it for match play going forward. ... show more

$279.95. The most expensive pickleball paddle, yet no paddle cover. If you want a cover, it will be another $20. 1. Power: about average. 2. Control: about average. 3. Price: the worst. *Concussion: It' not any better then $99 paddle. P. S. I don't like sound when I hit the ball.
