After reading many reviews, we decided to proceed with the purchase of this Joola paddle. We think it's great for the price we paid. There are minimal 'dead spots' and the response for power and control is pretty awesome. I'd like to note that I have been playing pickle ball on and off for about 8 months and this paddle is a definite step up from the cheaper ones. I also purchased a similar Tenvina Paddle, due to the price, but this one is more responsive and significantly lighter. Additionally, we have a basis of comparison to a more expensive Selkirk (invicta i think) paddle and while that was more expensive, it is superior to this paddle. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. You get what you pay for with Pickleball Paddles and this one is worth the price....especially if it's on sale like it was for me. Enjoy and paddle on!

I'm still somewhat new to pickleball and have been trying different paddles. I started with a cheap paddle just to see if I liked the sport and immediately changed to a better paddle. That was a significant step and well worth every penny! I've tried several Selkirk paddles and liked them but this one has been the best yet. It is a little heavier that others but doesn't fell overly cumbersome. The grip is very natural and comfortable. It is thick (which makes sense given the weight) which makes it very forgiving and easy to control the ball. If you are looking for a paddle that offers control, this one seems to be much better than others I have tried. At the same time, it still offers the power for long shots and smashes. I also like the rounded top, which gives a little extra change to reach those far shots without adding as much weight. Overall, this paddle just seems to fit more naturally, easy to grip, doesn't feel overly heavy and offers great control, especially for beginner-intermediates who are still honing their skills! I've only had the paddle for a few months so can't speak to longevity but it seems to be well-made so no reason to think it will break-down sooner than others. Definitely improved my game and well worth the price!

I am not sure what my player level is but I've been using a Joola Journey for a few months. I decided to upgrade to a better paddle and picked this up on Black Friday. Pros: - Looks great and ships with a cover - The spin on this is unreal. The carbon abrasion surface is quite gritty and I was getting great spins on my serves. - Shots are great when they land in the sweet spot Cons: - There was just not enough power on this paddle. I wouldn't call myself a power player but the power on this was just lacking - I found it difficult to control the ball. Dinks were falling short of the net - As great as my shots were when they landed in the sweet spot, they were horrible when they landed outside of it. The paddle is not forgiving and you need a high skill level Overall, not a huge fan and would not buy it again. There are many paddles at the same price point that are better
